This place is old and run down, 3 start at best. The breakfast buffet is below average, and you have to pay for a real coffee. Rooms have old carpets and nasty old scractched up rusted bath/showers. Its not a 5 star hotel not even 3 star. I wanted to cancel as soon as I walked in but they must know this will always happen as they have a 48hr cancellation policy - Just fix the place, its gross! I have been here 3 days and they still have the welcoming plate with old cheese, crackers and and a rotting strawberry sitting on the dining table. Seriously its bad

Hotel is nice but you can hear every little noise. I went outside and could hear my son talking. We could hear people in the hall way, the baby in the room next to us. Then woken up before 7am to clanging metal. Room stayed nice and dark, I was hoping for a sleep in, this is the first and only time I've been away from my highly disabled daughter and I really needed a rest, so that's disappointing. You would think a "5 star" hotel would at least have some noise minimising! Definitely not a hotel you would want to have private time in.

We loved our stay at the Stamford Plaza Melbourne. We booked five rooms and were so happy that they managed to have us all on the same floor. The motel is perfect location. Walking distance to everything. Our rooms were lovely, we stayed 5 nights and were so happy with house keeping, It was lovely coming back to a nice clean room everyday. Breakfast was great and there was more than enough variety. Fabian the concierge was lovely and friendly and more than happy to help guide us in the right direction to city sites we wanted to see. All the staff were all lovely as well.

I am staying at Stamford Plaza for three nights. I think it’s the little things that make for a great hotel stay. I ordered an ice bucket on the first night. It took two attempts for it to arrive. It’s my birthday today so I asked for a bucket of ice at 1:15pm as it’s a hot day so I could pop a bottle of sparkling and enjoy the day. It’s now 5:30pm and I’m still waiting. I can overlook the little things if the things I ask for are met. This week it’s a fail. Happy Birthday to me.

The Stamford is nice in a good location with a short walk to bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping, and the theatre. The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. The rooms have plenty of space with a couch, table, and chairs located in the room, along with a sink and all the . The beds were comfy, and the rooms were quiet. Everything you could need inside the plaza with a pool, gym, bar, and restaurant. It could do with a bit of an update, but overall, I enjoyed the stay.
