Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Stayed for my birthday, walked away bitterly upset. Room was dirty and smelt. When we arrived the room wasn’t even ready at 5pm, when check is at 2pm. The staff were not personable at all. Pool and spa are OHS hazards with broken tiles everywhere. For the price we paid over $400 for a deluxe king room, you would be better off going to QT across the road. Will not return and will tell people about my terrible experience!

Stayed couple of nights and had a really good experience. I booked a studio suite but got an upgrade to king suite on arrival, which is amazing. Breakfast was great. Room was specious and clean. Definitely gonna stay again and highly recommended.

Love our 2 bedroom Suite, i found the rooms the beautiful, breakfast at Harry's Restaurant was great. Location was perfect for our stay. The rooms were very spacious, compared to other more expensive hotels near by. Glad I chose the Stamford, wish I stayed longer.

The perfect Melbourne location! Older style rooms but they are clean, spacious with decent bed and pillows. Gym has enough equipment to get in a decent workout, the pool and spa area is a nice place to relax after a long day.

Smooth check in, great location and clean room (superior queen). Unfortunately after checking out I noticed that the hotel had deducted an authorised transaction for $154. I had no idea what this was for as the room and security bond had already been paid in a separate transaction. When I questioned what this was for or why this had happened the staff member couldn't provide any additional information, merely saying it would be returned within 4 days and she's follow it up with the finance team! Check your bank accounts after checking out!
