We stayed 8 nights at the Amora Hotel, 4 in a 1BR Loft unit and 4 in a spa corner unit. Both room types were very good, we preferred the spa unit with separate bedroom on one level. Very spacious. The staff were fantastic. Maddison at reception provided world class service, we would back her against 5 star overseas hotels we have stayed in. Anne in the restaurant was also fantastic and it was a pleasure to eat at the Hotel. Great location, with walk options, car park easy access and we did some nice day trips. Would highly recommend this hotel. We have stayed 3 times in recent years as close to everything, including family.

Stayed here during my business trip to Melbourne. Conveniently located as I was working in Melbourne Olympic Park. Underground secure parking was one of the reasons I picked this hotel. Good price and value for money. Room is very spacious! Has everything to be self sufficient, big fridge, stove, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, etc. Customer service is great! Breakfast was included in my room price, which was very convenient as well. Overall very pleasant experience.

The room is very spacious. It even has a balcony. So comfortable. The hotel staff are very helpful and warm-hearted, making me feel at home. This hotel offers 3 bikes. You may borrow them for cycling in the city. 2 supermarkets nearby. Very convenient! Highly recommend!

Great locale. Reception staff friendly. Lack of towels in room. Tardy response when extra towels requested. Young man bringing towels did not knock & entered the room - my partner was naked at the time...Is currently being renovated, which will freshen the aesthetic.

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times in the past and it used to be a place I could rely on, but over the last 12 months it has gone downhill noticeably. This stay was really disappointing. The room wasn’t properly clean — it felt dirty and neglected, and definitely not up to the standard you expect when paying to stay somewhere. The service was just as poor. Staff were unhelpful and uninterested, and simple issues felt like a hassle to get addressed. Overall it’s gone from being a regular choice for me to a place I’ll now avoid. Further to the below from Rahul... Thanks for raising the cancellations — this is exactly what happened. I booked a total of 73 nights for 12 people at the hotel over a two-week period in January 2026. Due to unforeseen circumstances (one member of our team suffered a serious illness), I needed to cancel 5 nights. The cancellation policy states cancellations must be made 30 days prior to arrival. These rooms were cancelled 27 days prior. I dealt directly with Raul, who was very insistent that the full amount still be paid. After multiple emails and conversations, a 30% discount was eventually offered. I understand that cancellation policies exist, however having no flexibility at all shows very little regard for genuine personal circumstances or customer loyalty. To make matters worse, the hotel is now fully booked, meaning the rooms have likely been re-sold — effectively allowing the hotel to receive payment twice for the same rooms. People reading this review can decide if this is the level of customer service they want to deal with.

Event Pavilion and Private Dining Rooms
The Event Pavilion is located in the hotels courtyard. This unique space has state of the art audio visual equipment & abundant natural light. A unique venue that opens up onto two courtyard spaces. The Event Pavilion is an ideal venue for a wedding or any event. This space is divisible by three & has four private dinning rooms that can be included. From the hotel rooms above you can see the botanical roofline of the pavilion. Bridge & Yarra Room
The Bridge & Yarra Room is filled with natural light beaming through the large windows along River Street. With a capacity to seat 150 guests banquet style, 220 guests theatre style and ability to be divided into two separate meeting rooms, this room is both flexible and empowering.
Park Room
The Park Room features floor to ceiling windows overlooking our central courtyard and the O'Connell Reserve. This room is the perfect setting for a cocktail party for 50 people or a boardroom meeting for up to 20 people. The Park Room is also a popular venue for smaller more intimate weddings and events. The Park Room allows for a tranquil view of the surrounding greenery of O'Connell Reserve and the Yarra River below. The Park Room has direct access to the Outdoor Courtyard - ideal for breakouts, team building, or family events to give the little ones a little more space to play.
Octagon Room
The Octagon is a light-filled space surrounded by floor to ceiling windows which look out to the greenery that surround the river beyond. It's a gorgeous view, and a stunning setting for a dinner event, or a networking evening. The Octagon Room, part of The Reserve Dining Room features direct access out to the Central Courtyard and views over the nearby O'Connell Reserve.
Banks Room
The sophisticated Banks Room is ideal corporate events, presentations and\or training. Like all the Amora Riverwalk meeting rooms, the Banks Room has an abundance of natural light and features mounted AV facilities.
Hawthorn Room
The Hawthorn Room has a maximum capacity of 80 theatre style, or 40 seated cabaret for a seminar or presentation. The versatile Hawthorn Room can be used as a larger conference space or can be divided into two or three separate smaller rooms. The Burwood Room, Lennox Room and Swan Rooms are all ideal for boardroom meetings or breakout areas.

Yarra Room
The Yarra Room is filled with natural light, beaming from the floor-to-ceiling windows which line the side of the room. Equipped with audio-visual technology, this multipurpose room is ideal for corporate meetings, workshops, and training. The Yarra Room has the capacity for 100 people theatre style, 40 people cabaret style, and 24 people u-shape style.
