Our family staycation at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour was truly memorable from start to finish. As an Accor Platinum member, the Club Millésime experience made our stay feel even more special, with thoughtful touches that went above and beyond our expectations. From the warm and welcoming check-in to the beautiful room, lovely amenities, and handwritten notes, every detail made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. It was these little gestures that made the experience so meaningful, especially travelling with our little girl. The combination of Sofitel’s signature hospitality, the Club Millésime privileges, and the attention to detail turned a simple family getaway into something truly special. Thank you to the team for making our stay so memorable. We left with beautiful memories as a family and would happily return for another wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

I booked a room for 3. Twin bed. The beds were more like a king single making it a very uncomfortable night for 2 of the 3 guests. Also, there is no bottled water in the room. A message was found instead explaining that Sydney's tap water is the best in the world. For the price, the minimum they can provide is bottled water. Even 4 star hotels do that. I can't fault the service though. Very attentive. The location is also excellent.

The location is excellent, the room was very clean, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, a few areas could be improved: * Elevators: Extremely busy during peak hours, forcing us to wait through several full elevators. * Breakfast: Compared to other hotels, the spread lacked variety and wasn't particularly special. * Communication: Unless I missed it, the only way to contact room service or housekeeping was by phone. Many other hotels now offer app-based or text messaging options, so having a modern digital channel would be much more convenient.

We stayed at Sofitel for our wedding and it was our first time staying in a 5-star hotel and it made our wedding weekend feel so special. From the moment we arrived, the service was incredible. The bell staff were so friendly and helpful, and everything we needed was delivered to our room quickly and with a smile. The team also kindly looked after our suitcase while we were away for our wedding ceremony, which made the day so much easier and completely stress-free. Our photographer and videographer were seamlessly sent to our room too, which made the morning run smoothly. The room itself was absolutely beautiful. The view was stunning, and it was the perfect place to relax and get ready before the wedding. I especially loved the luxurious bathtub and the bath robes, such a lovely touch that made the stay feel even more special. Thank you to the entire Sofitel team for making our wedding stay so memorable.

I stayed at Sofitel for about a week for a conference. The ICC entrance is literally across from the hotel, so the location is very convenient. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a coffee machine, TV, and a mini bar. I would book again. A few gripes keep this from 5 stars: - Breakfast buffet: spent 40 minutes waiting for someone to take our order for "on request" portion of menu. Someone said they'd come back and didn't. Got up and found someone to take our order, but had to leave after another 20 minutes. There was plenty at the buffet itself, so we did get our fill eventually. - A/C minimum is 19°C but there's only a duvet. A sheet would've been nice. - Password less wifi needs frequent sign-ins. You'll end up roaming if you're not careful. You could sign in to your Accor account which might help -- I didn't try -- but I didn't want to give the company my telemetry. As you can see, these are mostly petty gripes. I would still recommend overall.

Byrne Room
Our second largest meeting room at 112sqm, it can comfortably accommodate up to 103 guests. Ideally located in a corner of the building, the room is literally flooded with natural light thanks to two floor-to-ceiling window walls – making it an ideal venue from day to night. With its majestic high ceiling, luxurious fit-out, square layout, three screens and three-phase electric power, Byrne Room is the ultimate versatile room, perfect for cocktails, seminars, presentations, boardroom meetings, expo / trade shows and breakout spaces.
The Russell Room
Ideally located in a corner overlooking Darling Harbour and the International Convention Centre, the 37sqm Russell Room offers ample daylight and beautiful views through its floor-to-ceiling windows. With its high ceiling, stately board table and elegant marble and leather details, it is one of our most popular meeting rooms. It can comfortably accommodate up to 14.
