Reviews for Village Cinemas Southland

Booked tickets online to watch "Wonka" with my mum at the Premium village cinemas- really enjoyed the experience. Chairs were comfy and spacious, not overcrowded, staff were very nice, and its located nice and close to nearby restaurants. 🤗 Only thing that was bad- the girls toilets were really gross. Dirty, wet floors, no toilet paper, one of the soap dispensers werent working and unclean toilets.

First visit to a theatre since the pandemic and so disappointed. Gold Class food was always a bit pricey but it was also good. Our meals today were very poor - cold fries, cheap bread rolls and no flavour. And who ever decided to add "cheeseburger spring rolls" to the menu was a fan of mince and nothing else. Only good point was the staff otherwise you'd only have one star.

Good clean cinemas very popular location so get there early. The restaurants around it have a good variety from chain operators to dumpling houses.we went shopping after it. Rainy day well spent

It's the Bayside staple but it's running old and tired. It's difficult to swallow their prices compared to what other independents and competition offer for the same price. However, if you're paying full price then you are doing it wrong with the amount of partnerships they have with other companies to offer consumers cheaper tickets. Some positives are that if you are someone who enjoys the cinema experience with low key crowds then you can find plenty of off-peak sessions that offer decent value if you're not bothered by all the bells and whistles of bigger screens, Dolby Atmos sound etc.

My client wanted to see a movie and I would have used a companion card. It's very difficult to by that online previous. Their wanted us to split seat. I saw that luckily a minute before we purchased. Their is a reason for a companion card. Couldn't watch the movie. Lined up a second time to buy a ticket for next Saturday their sad the times are not out cause their timing the movies weekly. Also couldn't bought a ticket for Fridays. My client was very sad.
