Reviews for The Como Melbourne

The Como lived up to all the wonderful things I had heard. Absolutely every staff member I encountered was so lovely and helpful. When checking in I was informed I could get 50% off when dining for two people - a great reminder as not all Accor hotels have this discount. The room was spacious and clean and I loved the cute touches in the bathroom - including the famous rubber ducky. Thank you so much to your team for making our stay so wonderful.

I’ve been staying at the Como for over 20 years and the Hotel has been renovated in that time but is now tired again, bathrooms have never been renovated in my memory. Well worn furnishings in room and broken plaster on walls. Cleaning trolleys left outside room overnight and room not serviced until after 4pm when we were back in room. Bar which was a favourite has been closed since Covid, Japanese gardens on roof on way to gym have been left to die which is an eyesore and a shame that they weren’t maintained. No concierge parking and no special rate at adjoining public car park. It’s still a great location which is the saviour for this hotel but it’s not at the high level it was.

I was quite disappointed. When we arrived, I did not feel welcome. The room was a great size, but the lights in the bathroom were horrible. We had a great view of some trees, but the bed was hard. The TV had chromecast ability (which is great!) but it cut out every 10 minutes or so. If you are going to have the capacity to stream you need to have a network strong enough to enable it. The room had damage, the bathroom had hair in the bath. The bedside lights were harsh white lights, rather than something warm. I will not be staying here again, which is a disappointment because we got engaged here many years ago.

Rooms are roomy and comfortable, the whole hotel is quite dated and needs a refurbish and renovation. The pool area did not look or feel clean. Creepy room down the stairs from the pool. Definitely not 5 stars or worth $350 a night. Water from the shower splashes all over the roof and also leaks to the floor. The staff are friendly and the breakfast was very good! Parking is $50 a night a bit outrageous

Best possible location in Melbourne for restaurants, cafes, transport and attractions. Large, clean rooms and personalised customer service. We enjoyed a wonderful 3 day stay that could not be faulted.
