We were pleasantly surprised!! We were on the top floor with amazing views of the mountain range, the huge spa in the window provided a relaxing and private wind down after a long hot day travelling. It will be great when the restaurant re opens and once the day spa gets going again, but all in all I'd definitely stay again. Close to interesting towns and places of interest if you have a car. My most important criteria is cleanliness and the room was spotless.

I feel I have to write an honest review for other people to read, to make up for Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa’s deceitful advertisement. The restaurant is permanently closed. The site is unkempt, The Day Spa is a large abandoned building in the sprawling empty car park. They are instead offering treatments from 'room 13’ with a laminated piece of paper on the door advertising ‘Our Day Spa has reopened!’. The best thing about our entire experience here was the good & friendly communication before we arrived for our stay. We have a 4 month old so I called and asked multiple questions for an easy stay with the baby, & asked for early check in and late check out which they accommodated. However. One of the main things I called to ask about was what facilities in terms of preparing food did we have in our room, as it is more effort to come and go with the baby. That would have been the perfect opportunity to let me know the restaurant was closed, but no comment was made. I booked here for the ease of the restaurant on site with the baby. The website boasts about the decadent Day Spa and the gallery of the grounds and views is impressive. Upon arrival, there are no Mountain View’s, the trees have overgrown the view, the sound of the freeway is intrusive. The rooms are old, but clean and sufficient. Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa are simply dishonest about the experience they provide. I paid the price for my stay with a Day Spa and Restaurant included, but neither are available. Prices should be discounted and these crucial pieces of information should be disclosed & forthcoming, not the opposite, advertised and boasted and sold. The Day Spa, the restaurant and the experience the establishment promises were the reason we chose to stay here. Instead we found ourselves in the middle of no where with nothing to do & nowhere to go. I wanted to speak to someone in person about all of this, and planned to upon checkout, but I wasn’t even asked how the stay was. Mistaken charges were charged to our credit card without mention; they were eventually credited, and charges were also charged for a 'mini bar' that they stock with random beers and do not mention that they offering or the prices of said items anywhere. Upon email communication with Macedon Ranges Hotel & Spa about my concerns, I was not contacted by management and absolutely zero compensation was offered. Hence this review. You pulled the wool over our eyes!

We had a lovely long and relaxing massage. The room we stayed in was really spacious with a great spa bath in the bedroom overlooking the trees. The bathroom was huge and it even had a double shower. We were also impressed with the friendly service. Thank you for making this a memorable occasion. We felt really pampered.

Great size room with views of the pine forest and mountain ranges. The spa is great for relaxing in after a long drive. Has a mini bar selection of snacks. King bed and small TV. Great size shower. Dislike the water pressure and air-conditioning needs a regas. No microwave in room for heating baby bottles or to cook noodles.

The room is very spacious and such beautiful views. It was nice relaxing in the spa over looking the views. We liked this place so much that we booked another night when it was time to head back to the airport. We were checking in outside of their office opening times and the receptionist made this process very easy for us. The heater was even turned on for our arrival.
