Each member of the family got burnt by the shower due to water temperature fluctuations. I don’t believe a tempering valve was installed. Mold in multiple places. Location was great as were the staff, I just made the mistake of trusting the Mercure name rather than looking for reviews prior to booking.

Room walls seemed paper-thin - I got woken up by people checking in late at night. Not fun when you're trying to sleep! The room really needs some updating. There was this weird smell everywhere, but the bathroom was the worst. Pretty sure the drains need a good clean because there was a really bad smell coming up from them. The shower was a nightmare - barely any water pressure (felt like I was showering under a dripping tap), and getting the right temperature was impossible. It was either burning hot or freezing cold. I was trying to do a quick express checkout this morning but ended up wasting time because: The express checkout box was weirdly placed right on the reception desk Had to squeeze through the long check-in/out queue just to find it The box was so hard to spot, I almost missed it What's the point of having "express" checkout if guests still need to wait in the same line as everyone else?

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Lots of patched walls, the lift sounded like it was going to fall apart, the staff were ok. Tried to get a coffee on Sunday morning at the Cafe there, it was a chore for the staff member, cost $14.95 plus 15% because it was a sunday for two coffees. Parking was good. 6 out of 10

It's alright for the price. I came here with my SO for an event. The event was beautiful! ✨ The bar staff were very nice & polite! 😊 Here are a few things that could've been improved: 1) The bar closed very early for the event. 2) The front desk staff were not particularly attentive. 3) The accessibility room shower area was very small, so our clothes and other things in the bathroom would get wet while we showered. 4) The carpark wasn't particularly wheelchair accessible.

Room was fine and did the job but nothing special. The location is quite good as it’s only a couple of kilometres away from Melbourne cbd and is across the road from the royal children’s hospital as well as the royal women’s hospital so if you want wanted to you could use to send visitors/be an out patient of you needed to.
