#Buying the yearly Zoo Membership is definitely worth it. I have visited all parks multiple times. You can spend about 3-4 hours at this place to cover all aspects. But if you were to skip something, the Australian Bush trail could be missed. Butterfly room is a must and shouldn't be missed. Loved the stamp collection stops at the Dino Trail. It is easily accessible by public transportation. And kids and adults both can have fun times at the place. Suggestion : Please change the location of the Melbourne Zoo Sign. As it is against the sunlight, one can not get good pics. If it is just kept on opposite end, it would give delightful pictures for Souvenir.

when you first walk into the zoo, you will see a bunch of birds that collectively decided to stay at the zoo. little penguins here sound like ducks for some reason? there’s lots of different species of animals here like even the tasmanian devil which is kind of cute. a small warning is that you will walk a lot if you want to explore the whole zoo. some animals were not in their exhibits however.

This zoo is really big and has many choices for walks but it’s only good if you want to see either monkeys, giraffes, elephants or seals and penguins. There are meant to be many other animals but we didn’t see any of them, the closed spaces for most of the animals were empty. For basically three hours, we walked around and the distances between the trails are big. I know that the whole point of a zoo is to walk around and look at animals, but still. It’s overall a nice experience, but you would be much better off going to a circus or park even. The best thing was definitely the butterfly house.

If you an animal lover, get yourself a membership! The animals in at Melbourne Zoo are all, if not mostly endangered. It’s beautiful to see some good cares taken to them, with spaces for them to stay, and they do have very educational backgrounds info along their small homes. However, there should be an update for animals if they’re not in viewing, would save the time.

It's been a long time since I visited Melbourne zoo, but I was honestly blown away by how big it is. The enclosures are extremely large and are built in a way that appears to be most enjoyable to the animals, with plenty of places to sleep or hide. We arrived early, so a lot of the animals weren't active but you could see them sleeping in their little houses. What was really cool were the animatronic dinosaurs, I don't know what I was expecting when I saw the Dino trail but it was super cool to see.
