We stayed at Balgownie estate for a night away. The staff and service was impeccable. Lovely reception staff and we also had dinner at the restaurant and the food was perfection! So delicious and fabulous service too. We also had the buffet breakfast which was amazing and great value for money! My only criticism was the room itself and the pool - very shabby for the price we paid per night. The bathroom really stunk. Mould between the grout in the shower and the shower drain stunk too. We also had a swim in the pool and there was mould and crumbling grout surrounding the pool. There was also a ton of frogs inside the pool. Not a very pleasant experience for the amount we paid to stay there! Overall a 2/5 for the room and facilities. It really needs some sprucing up!

My wife and I had a wonderful time visiting the restaurant for our anniversary. The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive. They let us relax and enjoy our time together and didn't come back and pressure us into ordering quickly. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The view over the hills as the sun set just added to the evening. Overall it was a marvellous experience.

Not only was the food delicious and the service top-notch, but the atmosphere was also perfect for a leisurely lunch. We were also pleasantly surprised by the complimentary treats we received in celebration of my dear friend's birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special and enjoyable. And to top it off, we were able to do some wine tasting and were impressed by the staff's expertise and friendliness. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

What an incredible place to enjoy our special anniversary. The restaurant was amazing. The food and service is first class and something we will talk about for a long time. Dinner in such a beautiful setting made our visit to the Yarra valley complete. The whole experience was topped off by your friendly staff. Thankyou so much.

Fantastic lunch! Food was amazing and service was exceptional. Beautiful interiors, comfortable seating and gorgeous view. This occasion was special, my mum’s 80th, staff made a fuss of her which went down very well. :) Couldn't fault the experience and looking forward to coming back.
