Reviews for InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto

Amazing hotel staff. Would love to give a big shout to the 2 lads who worked at night was there. It was a kiwi guy (really big dude) and rohan? I cant recall their names now but wow. They basically attended to my shower issues where the tap was not working functionally as supposed to. Even brought in ice to assist with my wife's fever. Forever respectful. And the lovely ladies at the breakfast hall! From remembering our names to room numbers so we dont have to check in at breakfast again and again and even remembering our coffee orders! The staff at intercontinental is spot on and ever ready to assist! Room is a bit dated? But clean nevertheless. Shower issues when you change to the handheld shower as pressure is low, so it keeps reactivating the rainfall shower. But other than that fantastic all around. And yes a member of the chain, they do make you feel special!

The Intercontinental Melbourne is a stunning hotel located in the CDB. We stayed for 3 nights recently. Check in could best be described as clumsy as Reception staff disputed the structure of our booking, nightly 'turn down service' was missing even though I asked housekeeping face to face for this service and we had to request additional towels as they weren't replenished after cleaning. On a positive note the Club Lounge was stunning and the staff warm, welcoming and service impeccable. Although not a hotel issue we were harangued by several taxi drivers who were out the front of the hotel and we had to return to the hotel to seek help from the concierge.

We had a truly wonderful stay on 22 September. The hospitality and attention to detail exceeded our expectations, and the thoughtful surprise arranged for my wife’s birthday made the occasion especially memorable. Thank you to the team for creating such a delightful experience for us.

The disabled rooms are apparently located at the end of the corridors. We booked a month in advance but were not informed of this. Although the staff did their best to lend a wheelchair and a shower stool for our disabled companion who could not walk far. Also requested a room near the lifts but we did not get that either. Had I been informed initially at booking that the disabled rooms are that far, I would have not chosen this hotel. The staff are excellent though.

One of our favourite hotels in Melbourne. Stayed here on multiple occasions. There was a problem with our room on the first night and they upgraded us to a suite. We stayed for four nights. Excellent service and attention from all staff especially Aaron from the front desk. Location is central and it’s a lovely building. Highly recommended and will come back.
