Stayed there for two weeks during a business trip. The location is great. The room is good and spacious. Breakfast is almost the same everyday but it's good, specially the coffee is amazing. Helpful staff. Very close to multiple marts like 7 eleven and also very close to Tram station. Lots of restaurants nearby, specially Indian Restaurants. Recommended

Location is great, reception staff were friendly & helpful enough. Coffee pods in the room are awful, so is the breakfast coffee, so this would be an extra cost for my fellow coffee snobs. Rooms ok, but the air-conditioning stopped working twice during our 5-day stay. 1st night they located us to another room on the same level so we didn't have to move our belongings. 2nd time was after a busy day, we were very hot after getting back to our room and needed to get ready to go out. The maintenance man came out, sorted it within 40 mins but I was very flustered for dinner by this point. Windows do not open so you're relying on the flow from the air conditioner. We didn't use the mini bar. The last 2 nights, some guys thought it was funny to knock on our door (#720) past 10pm after coming out of the lifts. They ran to their room down the hall before I could see them.

It’s a 10/10 jam of IHG hotels in Melbourne. Everything was great with the hotel, from the central location, service, the amenities and facilities. Just 6-8mins walking distance from southern cross station. There was only one minor downside: the air conditioning in the room was a bit noisy. Overall, it was a great stay, though it’s a pity that the flexible check-out time was only until 12:00 noon.

The location is excellent. The rooms are a stock standard size, with a medium bed and a bouncy bed. Check in was excellent. We moved from another hotel, and went to drop our bags off at 10am and were grateful to be given a room straight away. We had a nice view of Spencer street. The buffet breakfast was excellent and way better than the Dorset. The pastries were varied, there was coconut water, coconut milk, grapefruit, orange and apple juice. English muffins and quiche, on top of the usual bacon, hash browns, scrambled eggs, tomato, fried rice. There was also watermelon, rockmelon, and whole fruits. The food was not replaced fast enough., as you can see in the photos. The rice was empty, so I lifted to lid to notify staff, and a staff member just closed the lid without replacing the rice. The staff need to be given gloves to serve hot plates. A staff member used her sleeve to hold the plate, which is just gross. A big let down is the percolated coffee. Unfortunately there is no pool, which is the big issue in preventing in returning in summer.

Rooms were very modern and spacious, excellent facilities and plenty of options options for the buffet breakfast. Special thank you to Khalil for his customer service and ensuring we had a good stay.
