We recently hosted a wonderful wedding (ceremony + reception) at The George Ballroom. The space itself is stunning and our guests were full of praise for its heritage beauty and also the generous food servings on the night. Our event manager Victoria was incredibly supportive, responsive and efficient throughout the planning process, and the event staff were also very professional and helpful. We would definitely highly recommend The George for weddings and other celebrations alike.

From the moment we stepped foot into The George Ballroom, we knew it was the wedding venue for us. Simply stunning. But to go with the beautiful venue, is the delicious food, and great service of all the staff. Our event co-ordinator, Ashleigh, was fabulous, we felt completely at ease knowing everything was taken care of for us. Nothing was too much trouble. A truly memorable day for both my husband and I, and all of our guests. Highly recommend to anyone considering this venue for their event.

The George Ballroom is absolutely amazing! If you’re ever looking for a venue and a team that pays attention to the small details and goes above and beyond, my wife and I would recommend this place! Ashleigh our event manager was amazing, she was flexible, easy going, fun and totally relatable! The food was amazing, the STAFF WERE AMAZING! Honestly we couldn’t believe how beautiful our wedding was at The George Ballroom, felt like fairytale! Ashleigh we love you!!! (Our photos haven’t been released yet, but here is a cute picture of my wife and I on the Bride + Groom table) - Will post more photos once they are released of how beautiful this venue was!

We knew from the moment we saw the George Ballroom that it was where we wanted to get married and we did on December 21, 2020. The venue was perfect, we did not need to add too many flowers or signage as the room is beautiful on its own. The venue looks stunning in every photo. The staff were fantastic! Especially Victoria who was a god send. There was no problem too big or detail too small for her, and she made our day so stress free. The food was also amazing. Every guest raved about the quality and quantity of the food and great service from the staff. If you are considering this venue for your wedding, I would highly recommend it! Such a beautiful, historical venue so close to the city!! Thank you for the perfect wedding.

Look no further! No other venue like it in Melbourne! Absolutely amazing space for a wedding. Aside from the space, Damm Fine Food provided a wonderful service during our ceremony and wedding at The George Ballroom. They were very helpful and accommodating and the food was excellent as well
