Reviews for Lancemore Mansion Hotel

Overall a disappointing stay especially for the money we spent on a dine and stay package in a suite. Rooms are basic and dated - well overdue for a renovation. Not cosy or luxurious. Plus, whoever thought that frosted glass doors and no sound insulation were a good idea for a toilet in a romantic suite? Restaurant is very average, dishes unremarkable though they try with service. Breakfast - I have no words. Very limited selection, they constantly ran out of food and we had to wait for replenishment, 3 star hotel quality. Positives: grounds are beautiful and the spa is nice. Parking is indeed free :-)

I purchased the Wine & Embers package which included the mulled wine and smores. My friend and I were served cold wine with scotch fingers, chocolate sauce and marshmallows however no fire or heating appliance of any kind to actually MAKE smores. As we had a reservation for dinner we didn't have time to correct the issue. After dinner we went to the bar to ask if we could order a couple of drinks to take back to our room. The bartender very rudely said "depends on what you want" which I replied I would like 2 espresso martinis to which he made a loud sigh and said "yeah I'll do it". He then went to the espresso machine where we were standing and said in a rude tone (again) "thank god I didn't clean this". He was clearly trying to make us feel like an inconvenience which created a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. We both decided to check out early and skip breakfast because we did not want to encounter the same rudeness/negative experience. I will say that our dinner experience was fantastic. My feedback has been emailed to the Mansion reception and Lancemore head office and neither have acknowledged or replied to my emails so I guess customer satisfaction isn't a priority 🤷🏽♀️

They know, And they now know that we know. 2024 Bingo card, I'm matching people's energy. Stressful experience all throughout. Poor conflict resolution. "Too bad, it is what it is", attitude. I guess there are places for everyone. This ... place... is definitely not for me nor for people who respect and appreciate the finer things.

Victor from Joseph's restaurant is just exceptional. He made our evening with his friendliness, positive energy and hospitality. We had a great time and we will be back for another remarkable dinner.

I want to express deep gratitude to all the staff for our amazing stay. We had our 10th Wedding anniversary this weekend (30.8-31.8) and I wanted to surprise my husband with something special. We are local to Werribee and we needed something closeby this time, so I decided to give it a try to this hotel, seeing it so many times from outside when walking through the gardens. From the initial contact with Danica till checkout out ( I am sorry we forgot to ask your names at checkout), we met with only beautiful people. The room was huge, clean and smelled so nice as well as all linen had aroma of freshly washed with good products. Pleasant to sleep in! Especially we appreciated the massive bed, bottle of bubbles and cheese platter as welcome gift. So thoughtful! Appreciated also the size of the bathroom, and the jaccuzzi. The Spa made the whole stay up a level. We would like to specially thank to Simone and Anya (hope I got the name right), for their hard work on our painful backs, we had great time, but mostly their massage really set us for relaxing stay. Cozy atmosphere and friendly interactions make such difference for the guests and you got it just right there. The dinner included in our package was fabulous. Sufficient quantity for this kind of dinning and food was well presented. We have nothing but good things to say about the food and the service. No waiting, fast service with very kind and respectful people. It was nice to talk to the executive chef Talal as well, such a pleasant and humble man. Cocktails we had were tasty, didnt notice any alcohol volume cheat and were done fast. Same for the breakfast, food was sufficient, tasty and appropriate for this kind of castle style hotel. Once again, the breakfast staff was nice to talk to and were very helpful. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful and well maintained garden with plenty of things to see for a weekend away. I am only sorry we didnt have time to try the pool, but it looked nice. We really appreciated the comfort and peaceful ambience of the whole property. No crazy laud music, no rush anywhere. Something what I never liked on big city like hotels. This hotel truly gave us a relaxing and quiet time. Sets you back couple of decades with old style library, fireplace, arched corridors and overall ambience. Well needed these days! I read some previous reviews and was preparing myself for a lot of flaws, but I have to say, we did not experience anything what could destroy our time. We have travelled a world a bit, and I always expect the worst from any hotels, even the most expensive ones, but taken how old the building is, where it is located and the style, there is nothing to complain or whine about. Yes, it is true that the rooms could do with a little upgrade (please put curtains to block the morning sun for people like me - first ray of sun and I am up. Nice thick light blocking curtains would definitely help. Also, the steel sinks are very weird choice for a heritage castle style hotel), but other than that, in the words of my dear husband: "Best anniversary surprise and overnight stay ever!" And the kindness and politeness of your employees makes it soo much better than posh golden city hotel with michelin star cuisine, but with rude and cold personal. For the management of the hotel, you have good people working there, keep them happy! :) Thanks again guys, we had a great time, we might make it an annual thing..:)
