Had a great experience with the front receptionist this week. My mother and I had some issues with the adjoining restaurant, and the wonderful Frances promptly (and gracefully!) completely sorted it out 😊. Thank you so much! We appreciate the time and effort you took to make sure our stay was positive and memorable!

This place is local to us. Everything was amazing. Food was top notch best steak I’ve ever had. High tea was great. Spa experience was something I’ve never heard if before, Haman steam room with exfoliating scrub and clay mask. Felt so good. Ver relaxing.

We had the indulgence package for our honeymoon. The couples massage was exquisite, all the staff are fantastic - from the receptionist to the masseuse. The mansion is fantastic, our room was awesome with the softest of beds.

Sadly disappointing. Room was adequate but nothing special, particularly for the price. Grounds and surroundings were excellent and close to zoo, and facilities. The Joseph's restaurant was the lowlight. My steak was beautifully cooked, but covered in so much salt that that was the only flavour. And the tiramisu tasted strongly of almond essence. Unexpected and quite unpleasant. The buffet breakfast in the morning was just ok. Rubbery scrambled eggs, overcooked bacon, but a good selection. The highlight was the service though. Lovely people working hard to make it an overall good experience, if you ignore the cost.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the hotel based on my offensive experience. Upon check in I advised the lady on reception that I had been hospitalised the prior weekend with vertigo and the only reason I didn't cancel the stay was because it was a girls trip with my mum for my birthday and was it possible to have twin beds so I wouldn't disturb my mum during the night as when I am horizontal is when my vertigo is at it's worst. I was advised it would be a $100 fee extra for twin beds. I said that was ridiculous and asked to speak to the Manager. The General Manager, Sam came to speak to me and I explained the situation even showing him my birthday on my licence and he said he would see what he could do. My mum and I left to explore the Mansion next door before returning. I was given keys for a twin room at no cost by the lady and we walked to the room only to be shocked that it was a disabled room. My mum uses a walker to be steadier on her feet but she is not disabled and to have this action taken by the General Manager of the hotel was offensive and discriminatory. I also think it's shocking to not even be asked or told that it was a disabled room before giving us the keys. The hotel was literally empty, we hardly saw any other guests during our stay, and the lady on the front desk when we were checking out the next day confirmed that the hotel was very quiet that week - adding even more of an insult that we would be put in a disabled room. I checked on their website and there were plenty of normal twin rooms available for the dates of our stay. Restaurant food and service was terrible, I asked a waitress with piercings in her face twice for ice for my drink and it never came!
