More of a 7.5 out of 10. It’s a nice looking hotel with a hunting lodge feel about reception and the common area beside the bar. Open fireplaces and old world furniture give it a really nice atmosphere. The room was small but the bed, linen and pillows were all comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t quite up to the same standard as the bed. The rainforest shower head had good pressure but was extremely noisy. It whined and shuddered while being used. There was no cake of soap at the basin, just the shampoo and body wash - a simple expectation and quite annoying. The toilet could use some bleach around the rim - this shouldn’t need to be brought to the attention of management, it’s a basic hygienic requirement. Slippers would be a good idea as the carpets wouldn’t be steam cleaned regularly. I found the front desk staff friendly and helpful. Room 308.

Awesome renovated hotel, beautiful views, great lobby bar, enjoyed a wonderful evening with great friends in front of the fire on high back leather seats while downing some well made cocktails. Rooms are lovely, great ambience. Will go back again.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but I do have some feedback. I found some of the staff a bit abrupt, however some were amazing. The property itself is gorgeous and has a lot of potential. But the decor and artwork let it down massively. The abstract artwork of naked women was excessive, it really doesn’t need to line every wall and take up every corner. Pair this with the dingy/dark setting and it gave off the impression of an “adult” venue. Mix up the decor/large amount of bulky leather furniture/ dark lighting and it would be a faultless venue. I will add that I didn’t feel like the executive suite was worth the price point and was a bit disappointed. I do see that weekend rates are higher, so for anyone looking to book. I’d advise to go during the week as rates are a lot lower or the same but include dinner/drinks packages.

Had a wonderful two-night stay at Hotel Bellinzona. The hotel is beautiful, the service exceptional, and the beds very comfortable. A heartfelt thanks to Jessica for her kindness and help — it made my stay even more special. Looking forward to returning!

The bed was comfortable and the lounge/bar area pleasant enough, but unfortunately that’s where the positives ended. For the price, the experience was very disappointing. The bathroom and pool/spa areas were dated and uninviting, with no real amenities provided. Our room door rattled so badly we had to wedge a bag against it. Service was the real low point: when I called to request a room change, the receptionist sighed as if I were inconveniencing her. On arrival, she ignored me at check-in—even after another guest pointed it out—and was dismissive when I raised the earlier rudeness. Checkout wasn’t much better, with staff again making me feel like an inconvenience. Overall, overpriced and poor service. Only the bed and lounge stop this from being a one-star review.
