Second time I’ve eaten here. This time was much better! Decided to get a streak sandwich and hamburger, both fabulous. Served up with a generous side of fries. Service was very friendly and the meals arrived quickly.

We came to Brighton Beach Hotel for what was supposed to be a simple night out with friends — just great food, a few drinks, and that famous Brighton sunset. The air was warm, the ocean shimmered gold, and the whole place was alive with laughter and music. She was there too, sitting with her own group of friends just a few tables away. I noticed her when the sunlight hit her face — that quiet kind of moment when time just... slows down. Later, one of our friends spilled a drink near their table, and what started as lighthearted banter turned into a conversation that carried long after the sun disappeared. We ended up walking down to the sand together — barefoot, shoes in hand, talking about everything and nothing while the lights from the restaurant glowed softly behind us. The waves were calm, the breeze was gentle, and for a few hours, it felt like the rest of the world didn’t exist. That was the night I met my wife. Every month since, we’ve come back to Brighton Beach Hotel — to the same spot, the same view, the same energy that somehow brought two strangers together by the sea. It’s more than just a place for great food and drinks (though both are incredible). It’s the kind of place that feels alive — where every detail, from the staff to the atmosphere, seems to make moments last just a little longer. Brighton Beach Hotel will always be our place, and no matter where life takes us, we’ll always come back to where it all began.

A few months ago, I took my elderly dad there for lunch. I ordered the half rack of BBQ pork ribs. It arrived with an unappealing looking purple coleslaw. I tried some and it tasted off. I sent my meal back to be replated with a green salad, and the meal was beautiful. Today I took my dad back for lunch again. He ordered the same meal, and to my amazement.. the same looking coleslaw was on the plate, with a random pickle that looks out of place. Dad refused to eat the coleslaw based on last time. I had the Humpty Doo Barramundi today and it was beautiful. Some of the other meals have been too, but the pork ribs we love...the slaw let's it down. I know it can be done better.

Awesome pub! Had a delicious meal but the real standout of our time there was Flo! She’s warm, welcoming, and really made our day with her outstanding service, bubbly energy and contagious smile. From perfect drink recs to making all of us feel at home, you can see Flo is amazing at her job. Honestly, we’ll be back just for her. Cheers!

We celebrated our wedding yesterday at the Brighton Beach Hotel’s Bayview Room and were delighted with the whole event. The new functions manager Will Mackenzie was amazing. He arrived early in the day to check that everything was in order and worked tirelessly to fix those things that needed rectifying. Despite a very long day he kept everything running smoothly throughout the night according to our plan. The tables and chairs were beautifully dressed, the food was delicious, and the service was efficient and discreet. We had some gluten free and vegetarians in our group and they were all very happy with the options provided. The dance floor worked brilliantly with our live band and the views are always amazing (especially if the weather is kind) All in all it was a fabulous evening and we wouldn’t hesitate to book this venue for any future celebrations.
