Reviews for The Como Melbourne

We have a very pleasant stay at The Como Hotel for our recent wedding anniversary celebrations. We were wonderfully surprised by the upgrade to the gold suite. It was such a fantastic loft style penthouse with such generous living spaces and spectacular views to the park. Thanks so much for the lovely gesture with the champagne and biscuits to help us celebrate our anniversary. The coffee machine wasn't working and house-keeping were quick to come and check and replace the machine for us. We used the gym and swimming pool on both days before heading out to explore. The gym and swimming pools were both clean, orderly and well supplied with towels/towelettes for guest use. There are only 2 constructive feedback that we would like to provide. Firstly, the bed would have been better furnished with softer bedsheets. Secondly, we were a bit disappointed that with such a nice free-standing bath, there were no bath salts available for us to get/buy from housekeeping/reception. Overall, we love to give a very high rating to The Como Hotel, and would love to find another opportunity to come back for another stay.

We arrived at 2pm as we had organised early check in. The room was huge with a fabulous big mirror which is always welcome when you’re heading out for the evening. Not many hotels have good mirrors. The bathroom was huge with a lovely big bath. We had breakfast in bed, which was tasty and hot. We had a swim even though the water was a bit cool, it was nice and refreshing when you were in a few minutes. We tried to work the sauna but couldn’t work it out and no one was around. You had to walk through the gym to get to the pool, which made me feel guilty 😂, but looked very well equipped. Highly recommend this hotel.

From the moment I arrived at The Como Melbourne – MGallery, I knew I was in for something special. Perfectly located on the iconic Chapel Street in South Yarra, the hotel blends sophistication with a warm, welcoming energy that makes you feel right at home. I had the pleasure of staying in a Junior Suite, which exceeded all expectations. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully appointed featuring a king-size bed, a luxurious spa bath, and something truly unique: a private office. As someone who travels frequently for creative work, having a dedicated and elegant workspace in-room was a rare and incredibly valuable feature. It made my stay not only comfortable, but also highly productive. Mornings started perfectly at The Brasserie, where breakfast is à la carte with eggs made to order and served in a cozy, refined setting. The ambiance was relaxed yet upscale ideal for easing into the day. One of my favorite spaces was the heated indoor pool. The retractable roof lets in beautiful natural light, creating a calming yet stylish atmosphere whether you want to swim, relax on a chic sun lounger, or simply enjoy the peaceful energy of the rooftop space. A hidden gem in the heart of the city. Throughout the hotel, the interior design and curated artworks reflect a modern, understated luxury. The decor is elegant, sober, and incredibly well-executed completely aligned with my personal taste. The staff were attentive, professional, and always eager to assist from check-in to housekeeping, every detail was seamless. Whether you're visiting for business, leisure, or a bit of both, The Como Melbourne is a true sanctuary. The level of comfort, style, and service is genuinely impressive. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a premium and memorable stay in Melbourne. I can’t wait to return ! An absolute must-stay.

Check in was smooth and friendly. Room large and airy. Spa bath was fun. Wash basin was cracked and chipped, and the reception staff seemed surprised. I'm not quite sure why as I would assume that the housekeeping staff would have reported it. Perfectly pleasant hotel but definitely not 5 star.

Grateful for the upgrade to a one bedroom suite for a recent staycation. (Perfect also for a spot of WFH !) Cute little balcony overlooking the adjacent park , but the outdoor setting was a tad cobwebby/dusty and could not keep door open. Bed was comfy but due to shape of bedroom, could be a bit squishy on the window side with the blinds closed. Bathroom was huge, good power from shower, big hole as a "handle" for the showerdoor meant need to strategically direct the water flow.. and the spa bath from the 80s defo showed their age. (The sink also had sealants coming off.) We had to google to fix/reset the nescafe coffee maker to make it work. Lots of wardrobe/storage space hahaha
