We had a truly wonderful stay on 22 September. The hospitality and attention to detail exceeded our expectations, and the thoughtful surprise arranged for my wife’s birthday made the occasion especially memorable. Thank you to the team for creating such a delightful experience for us.

The disabled rooms are apparently located at the end of the corridors. We booked a month in advance but were not informed of this. Although the staff did their best to lend a wheelchair and a shower stool for our disabled companion who could not walk far. Also requested a room near the lifts but we did not get that either. Had I been informed initially at booking that the disabled rooms are that far, I would have not chosen this hotel. The staff are excellent though.

We had a great experience staying at the intercontinental for a birthday. The hotel organised chocolate strawberries in the room with a birthday card, such a nice amenity to receive. Rooftop pool was good, except there were children running and splashing around everywhere, did not make it relaxing. Full gym with free water bottles and fruit bowl available. Sauna was working well, only big enough for a couple of people at a time. Minibar was missing items off the minibar menu, maybe out of stock or certain things. We would definitely stay here again :)

My wife and I booked a weekend away at the InterContinental, and overall had a great experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from a tram stop on Collins Street, with easy access to shopping areas and the train station. While the central location is a big plus, it does mean that the rooms don’t have much of a city or street view—they face inward, overlooking the restaurant area below, and other rooms. That said, the service more than made up for it. A special shoutout to Arron at the front desk—he was amazing! Very helpful, patient, and accommodating with all our requests. We also had the pleasure of meeting Angela, the Sales Director, at the Club Lounge. She made us feel incredibly welcome and at home, which added a really personal touch to our stay. All in all, a very enjoyable weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend for the excellent service and great location. Althea & Jude

One of our favourite hotels in Melbourne. Stayed here on multiple occasions. There was a problem with our room on the first night and they upgraded us to a suite. We stayed for four nights. Excellent service and attention from all staff especially Aaron from the front desk. Location is central and it’s a lovely building. Highly recommended and will come back.
