Enjoyed my stay here. (Thanks for the upgrade as a Platinum Ambassador member - much appreciated). It's a historic building and the rooms could probably do with a bit of a refurbishment, but they're very clean, comfortable and it's got a lot of charm and the staff were lovely (particularly Aaron on reception). Bed was really comfortable and the shower was good too. Location is excellent. The only downside experienced was housekeeping... After servicing the room (which was after 3pm - very late), bathroom amenities (including tissues) weren't restocked and we had to call down to get supplies. Also, I'm not sure if there's a "turn-down" service, but came back to the room after dinner and the curtains had been closed but nothing else had been done to refresh the bed or the room. Very odd! Minor points but just thought I'd mention them for feedback. Still enjoyed the stay overall.

My husband & I stayed here for a few nights before our honeymoon! The staff are incredible! Highly recommend giving the bar a visit when Thomas is working, he is so lovely & provides a lot of knowledge of local restaurants, etc. The location is great as well as you're in walking distance to many restaurants & shops! Highly recommend the restaurant Salted Egg, which is a 1 minute walk. Overall, our stay was amazing & the staff were absolutely fantastic!

We came for drinks planning to stay a while. We were surprised that we weren't able to get table service at the bar especially when we were the only ones there. We thought this was a 5 star hotel but unfortunately not. We moved onto the Westin and had a fantastic customer service. Shame, it is such an iconic luxurious venue

We really enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental Melbourne during a recent trip to Australia. We arrived into Melbourne on an early morning flight from Singapore and used an annual redemption night that comes with our IHG card. As silver elite members, staff were kind enough to allow us to check-in at around 9:30am as a room was available. We were also offered a late 2pm check-out which was greatly appreciated after a long trip. The room was comfortable, with a well stocked mini bar. On-site amenities include a pool, gym and sauna. Melbourne is a wonderful city and we hope to stay here again on a future trip.

Cannot express my satisfaction with this place enough. We're Intercontinental Ambassadors and we were looked after so well by all staff. Great room upgrade to a suite on Collins street. Club Continental upgrade and new location is superb. Highlight of the trip was Minnie and the team in the lounge. Nothing was too much trouble and all done with grace and charm. She's a keeper. Overall a great stay and won't look anywhere in future. Also available with Qantas FF Points
