Sage Hotel, Ringwood VIC A solid stay in Ringwood and a dependable base when working or travelling through the east. Rooms are practical, clean and genuinely quiet —and Staff were friendly, relaxed and happy to help, which always sets the tone. Location-wise, it’s spot on. Sitting above Eastland Shopping Centre means everything you need is within a gentle wander — good eateries, coffee, retail, and public transport right there. Parking is straightforward through the centre, which makes arrival simple or drop offs. Breakfast was a good à la carte offering, fresh and unfussy. And while the lobby isn’t at street level, once you arrive it’s spacious, comfortable, and has a bar and restaurant to settle into. Overall, an easy five stars. A convenient, well-run, and comfortable hotel in a busy pocket of Melbourne’s east — happy to recommend and will stay again.

Second visit to the Sage Hotel. The hotel is modern and clean with a spacious lobby. The rooms are clean and modern and provide everything needed - frustrations/area of improvement would be the temperamental cast system on the TV, and the house keeping which was missed on some days and not great on others. The duvets are also not great - made with some non breathable material which isn't comfortable. Breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. Location is also very good with cheap parking and immediate access to Ringwood mall and restaurants. Great for a business trip.

Throughly disappointed with the experience. I booked 20 days initially in late December across the Christmas and New Year period, and I cancelled the last 10 days midway through. Staff were exceptionally lazy (room was often left half done or unclean), it seemed like they were attempting to cut corners at every turn. Not a very pleasant experience as a guest. There were also a myriad of technical issues: the air con was temperamental and when it did work it was dusty; the fridge in the room didn’t work upon arrival and had to be replaced; access to the Anytime Fitness gym that was supposed to be included was revoked after ~5 days due to a “security issue”, following which each day we’d check to see if it was resolved and the front of house staff would say “a few more days, it’s out of our hands” so we ended up just having to buy our own day passes at a local gym instead; the internet speed was comically slow in the room (single digit mbps download/upload) to the point where we had to ask for a better solution, following which they said this was just how they did it to “distribute access” then proceeded to give us access to the coworking space’s internet, which was better; they have a $5 tray service to deliver anything to the room, so forget about ordering coffee to your room; when they had forgotten to replace our towels we called reception to request a replacement, following which they could only provide us with a replacement if we came down to reception ourselves (again, just a lazy and unprofessional hotel experience); the list goes on… This is from a fairly brief stay that was cut short because the above was insufferable. I will never stay here again. What you might save on cost you gain in headache and laziness. Would not recommend. The only good thing I have to say about this place is its connectivity to the Eastland Shopping Centre - that was convenient.

Rooms were a good size for the price the only reason for 1 less star is theres no windows to open for fresh air. Would have been perfect if theres a pool or spa
