A quiet Sunday winter morning there’s not much open in the area. Thankfully we came across this fabulous little place. Some funky music with a touch of bohemian vibe and plenty of plants. Asking about Gluten Free options was a welcoming experience with plenty of assistance from the staff. After our really good coffee, we each chose a burger. What came out was the biggest burgers we’ve seen in a long time. With a side order of really crisp french fries (although a touch too much salt for my tastes). Let me recommend the Barramundi burger with a fabulous coleslaw and all the regular fillings. Love that there was caramelised onion in both burger varieties we shared. Great staff. Highly recommended for food and vibe.

I usually don’t try places that have a low google rating. Since I live in Southbank and have walked past many times I decided to give it a go anyway. Our order at the counter was egg wrap, chicken nuggets, hook burger (fish), chips and drinks. The drinks and wrap were ok but the fish was old and chicken was dry. Chips didn’t arrive due to a mistake at the till. This is just an observation but the service wasn’t great either and the staff didn’t look too happy, maybe this explains the issue here?

Lots of delicious vegetarian options. Be warned that the serves are large! The vegan Parma is very nice. Generous serve for a big eater 😀 The vegetarian pasta has great chunky veggies, fresh and tasty. The vegan burger could be more flavourful The veggie pizza was nice with lots veggie toppings. The Kracken chai spice cocktail is amazing! Food is served fast with good service. Even at peak busyness

DO NOT RECOMMEND! If you want disgusting food and have low expectations of food then this is the place to go. From someone who travelled to Melbourne interstate this is not the type of food that should clearly represent Melbourne. Not a lot of variety of food on the menu. Overcooked steak. My partner and I asked for medium - well done and, it was literally burnt on the bottom and, extremely chewy, pretty much inedible, very expensive for what it was. The coating on the chicken wings were disgusting and overpowering, couldn't taste the chicken. The cucumber was so soft like it was off and didn't taste fresh and the chips were cold. Waiting on the food took a really long time even though it wasn't busy and, they didn't even sell coke. Very disappointing because this place is in such a nice spot.

Enjoyed my time at Billie's at South Wharf Our group of 2 both went for burgers. My grilled chicken avo bacon on a brioche bun was mega tasty. Staff were smiley friendly and polite. Plenty of people on this Friday public holiday Views of river and boats was pleasant. Dined outside under cover on raised table with stool seats NB: 15% surcharge on public holidays
