Brilliant old school pub, relaxing atmosphere with a great vibe, beautiful open fireplace. Brilliant entertainment especially the Alfi Rocker Trio - rock the pub all night with the old classics making the atmosphere come alive and very engaging to keep returning for more whenever I hear Alfi Rocker is playing with his band. Simply the BEST.

I stopped drinking several years ago. However, during lockdown, when we felt like a quality home-cooked meal, but were too lazy to cook, I traveled to The Rose at the edge of my 5km to obtain takeaway meals. To be fair, sometimes we would wait all week to pull the 'too lazy to cook' card to get meals from The Rose (such as the parma with chips). Thank you Darren and Lisa for giving us something to look forward to.

This is a classic traditional pub. Cold beer, big value meals, entertaining company, open fireplace, beer garden. These were all once commonplace in pubs, but are now a bit of a rarity. I hope that people support pubs like The Rose and keep some old school hospitality in our options for going out.
