Luckily we had just one night stay with them. The room was okay, comes with a sad balcony. There’s two plastic chairs and some trash on the balcony, that’s what makes it look sad. Had to shower in a bath tub, not ideal for elderly as it is quite slippery. No toothpaste toothbrush provided. Tried calling the housekeeping number but no one is picking up. Also asked for two pairs of slippers from the front desk but the slippers are way too small for adult to fit in. Room is pretty aged, sound proofing is definitely not working. I can hear the conversation of hotel guest who walked past our room pretty clear. No free parking, gotta pay for street parking otherwise you can park in a building which is at subsidized rate provided by the hotel. Breakfast buffet was ordinary, definitely not worth the price, just the plain old baked beans, sausages, bread, fruits and yogurts. Should have had my breakfast at local cafe instead. All in all, I had high expectations for Esplanade after all it is run by renowned hotel management but it failed me quite abit. Giving two stars because of the good location.

We stayed for three nights. Location is fantastic, staff are lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. It is so easy to get around the area. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable. We were surprised at how quiet the hotel was even though it was busy. We weren't disturbed during the night with noisy guests. Our only criticism is that the bathroom needs updating. There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, and a note to keep the door closed as the steam could set off the smoke alarm. Also a worry is mould on the upper wall and ceiling. An upgrade of the television to a smart tv would be a good idea also.

It was my first time in Perth for a week. Fantastic staff, spacious room, good size balcony and amenities. Service is fantastic, friendly and quick to help. I enjoyed the restaurant for dinner, and they kept great wines from what I tasted. Will definitely come back for my next jaunt. Thank you, you definitely earned a repeat guest.

The male staff member in mid 20's was most unwelcoming bordering on rude and has no etiquette or communication skills on check in. This is coming from someone that is very easy to please. Wasn't very forth coming with information and didn't leave a very good impression. I run a business centred around customer service, this staff member will cost the hotel repeat business. Other than that room great, breakfast good and friendly customer service upon check out. Not sure would stay again based on customer service I received.

Tonight 30/7/24 is our 1st night here. We are staying for 2 nights, so far so good, the bar down at ground level is comfy and well priced drinks. We did check out the gym but it only has 2 exercise bikes and 1 treadmill, so that's disappointing. Will try out ball and chain pub tomorrow night for dinner.
