Have been coming to the Waneroo Tavern for decades with friends and family. Arrived for Tuesday quiz. QR code at our and nearby unoccupied tables had been turned off. Had to go up to ask for a menu. Asked for food and drinks menu, but only received one menu which had food and wine, no beer or spirits or cocktails? Table was physically checked in when we were initially sat. We requested water. Over an hour later there was no water provided. If we had received the water we could have taken the opportunity to order food or drinks. No server visiting nearby tables to flag down and advise about the QR code. Quiz was for 7pm. Came in expecting dinner, ended up thirsty for water. Has put an incredible dent in my opinion of the establishment which is disappointing. Wicked quiz was good though. MC was very entertaining. Would have enjoyed it more with food and drinks.

I had a fantastic experience thanks to our waitress, HEIDI! She was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional from the moment we sat down. She checked in at just the right times, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured everything arrived promptly. What stood out most was her genuine friendliness and the way she made us feel welcome. It’s rare to receive service that feels both effortless and high-quality, but she truly delivered. Her excellent service made our meal even more enjoyable, and I would happily return knowing we’d be looked after this well again. Highly recommend!

Im new to the town. Had a few meals in the last 2 weeks and the was has been good. Value for money and good sizes. Tonight how ever I ordered the 24 dollar steak special and like last week after being offered veggies or chips with salad I choose no chips just salad. My delicious steak came out with nothing but the streak because apparently you needed to pay more for salad. Not last week I didn't. All good, I then asked for the womans world cup to be put on a television to watch and was told there is a staff shortage and the manager will be in soon to put it on... 50 mins later... no joy. Please don't say your going to do something and then not do it. The young lady behind the bar is fantastic. sigh...
