Delightful lunch at The Herdy today. Extensive menu. My hubby and brother had the porchetta roast. Pork perfectly cooked. Delicious and generous portions. I had the chicken snitzel. Chicken was tender and delicious. One of our favourite pub. We will definitely return.

Had a great visit to The Herdsman Lake Tavern. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it an easy place to settle in and enjoy a good meal.Kids are welcomed and accommodated for with a kids menu and indoor play area.The spot for a family gathering where both adults and kids can relax and enjoy their day/ night. The standout of any good tavern is their steak sandwich and here it is simple and good. The steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and full of flavour—served on fresh toasted sourdough style bread with simple well balanced toppings that complemented the meat without overpowering it. It’s the kind of sandwich that’s hearty, satisfying, and exactly what you hope for when you order a classic pub favourite. Service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the tavern makes it a great spot whether you're stopping in for a casual lunch or a relaxed catch-up with friends. If you're in the area and craving a proper steak sandwich, this one is well worth trying. Highly recommended. 👍🥩🍞

I suggested to visit this traditional and local pub. It is really nice, they have some special meals and also different clean and tidy areas. (I tried the ribs and the lamb shand which was tasty and yummy) for the wings a little bit plain not enough flavour but big ones.

Been coming here for a while now, and this time had live music (which was super cool) and a very nice way to spend a Saturday, very enjoyable. We had the true blue herdy special, a bit pricy but boy it tasted so good. The manager on duty Kylie made my experience even better with her super upbeat vibe and good banter Will be back for some more live music and some great service from Kylie

Had a family lunch here. First time here, at least since I was a teenager and frequented the venue onto listen to live bands back when I was a youngster. This is now a traditional tavern and well set up for food service. It was Sunday lunch and the large dining room was at least 75% full which was a good sign. On the table we had a couple of steaks, seniors seafood plate (which was large and generous) and I had a chicken parmi. The comments around the table were positive on the food. My parmi was fairly standard, not the best, but not the worst. Serving sizes were good from what we saw coming out of the kitchen. Prices were fair to good. Would go again.
