I always choose the Sydney InterContinental whenever I visit Sydney, and for good reason. This hotel consistently delivers an outstanding experience on every front. The food is simply excellent, and the breakfast is honestly among the best I’ve ever had. The rooms are equally impressive—always spotless, very comfortable, and offering great views. The service is top-notch, with staff who are incredibly courteous and always make you feel welcome. In particular, I want to highlight the breakfast team—Karem, Sanskriti, and Ben—who made each morning a delight with their warm and attentive service. One of the best parts about the Sydney InterContinental is its unbeatable location. It’s within walking distance of the Sydney Opera House, the beautiful Royal Botanic Garden, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, St. Mary’s Cathedral, and the Queen Victoria Building. You can easily explore some of Sydney’s most iconic spots just by stepping outside the hotel. Overall, it’s my go-to hotel in Sydney for a reason. Highly recommended!
Amazing convenient location, great amenities such as byredo, beautiful view of opera house harbour bridge and botanical gardens but most importantly - the staff were SO hospitable! I celebrated my partner’s birthday here and the staff helped to deliver my decorations up to the room + even delivered a complimentary cake and utensils. they even went so far as to UPGRADE us 🥹 (we visited on a less busy day) . Highly recommend and would love to come back!
Rooms are beautiful and elegant. It would be nice to have a more substantial nightstand. We didn’t realize that you have to flip a switch near the door for do not disturb and we were woken from a nap by the housekeeper supervisor. She repeatedly rang the doorbell 3 times until I finally stumbled to the door-severely jet lagged. I would hope that if someone doesn’t answer after 2 knocks that you would realize that perhaps the people don’t want to be disturbed. However, it was our fault for not flipping the do not disturb light. No washcloths until the second request-a European habit? Yet other hotels in Australia have them? People are very friendly and helpful. We found a friend in the Treasury Bar waitress Feline. Breakfast was beautiful and substantial.
Great experience at the Intercontinental Sydney. Fantastic service and staff always going above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. We had the breakfast on one of the mornings of our stay which was excellent and one of the best buffet breakfasts I have ever had. Staff are very quick if you ask for ice or an extra pillow to your room. I would most definitely return in the future! :)
We had a wonderful stay during Vivid Sidney. Ideally located in the heart of the city, a few minutes walk to the Opera house, Harbor bridge, the Rocks, and Circular Quay (gateway to ferries) and restaurants. It is a luxury hotel in a historic and beautiful building with classic decor! There is a classic and elegant elevator in the lobby. Amazing and helpful staff that will help you in every way. We were a bit lost on our first day, and we may look it too...lol. A staff member immediately approached and answered our questions on how to walk to the Opera House from the hotel. The room is spacious and clean with a view of the harbor. Visit the Aster bar to enjoy the crafty mixology (We love the drinks!) and the amazing view of Sydney Harbor. The only downside is the lackluster breakfast buffet. It needs more variety!!! Nevertheless, we still highly recommend this hotel!!!
