The Grounds of Alexandria, our original location established in 2012, is one of Sydney’s favourite hospitality destinations. It boasts our famous Grounds Cafe, our restaurant The Potting Shed, our iconic Garden Bar & BBQ, and fabulous themed installations which draw people from all over Sydney and the world. The Grounds of Alexandria is also home to an array of unique private event spaces, hosting everything from intimate gatherings to weddings and corporate events.

The Ground Alexandria never disappoints. The atmosphere is absolutely five-star — beautifully curated and incredibly welcoming. The food is delicious, though I’d say the prices lean towards the higher side. That said, it’s definitely worth it for the quality, presentation, and overall dining experience. The service is excellent — the staff are attentive, friendly, and always available when needed. One thing I particularly love is how the restaurant embraces seasonal themes. Right now, it’s decorated in a stunning Snow White theme, which adds a magical touch, especially for families with children. I brought my daughter along this time, and she was absolutely enchanted by the setting. For our meal, I ordered the Big Breakfast, a kids’ menu item for my daughter, and a Tropical Juice. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and perfectly portioned. The juice was refreshing and paired wonderfully with the meal. Another big plus is the parking — there’s plenty of space, which makes the visit hassle-free, even during busy hours. The only downside I noticed was the limited restroom facilities. Inside the dining area, there’s just one restroom each for men and women, which can be a bit inconvenient during peak hours. Other than that, everything was exceptional. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you’re looking for a family-friendly place with great food, beautiful ambiance, and a unique seasonal charm.

The atmosphere was amazing. We tried nachos and other 2 times i forgot. Food was amazing, ambience was very fascinating. There was a snow white theme. Sometimes you have to wait for the table. They were very busy when we went. Service was outstanding. To gain the access to snow white theme place we needed to get food receipt. Overall experience was expensive and amazing.

A little on the pricey side and often packed with long queues, but worth the wait. The food was excellent — hands down one of the best chicken dishes I’ve had in Sydney, and the coffee was just as impressive. What really stood out, though, was the service: fast, attentive, and genuinely warm without missing a beat. A rare blend of great food and hospitality.

The ambience was absolutely stunning—every corner of the café was thoughtfully styled, making it not only a treat for the senses but also a paradise for photo lovers. Whether you’re into vibrant backdrops or soft fairytale aesthetics, you’ll find more than a few spots perfect for capturing that dream shot. The vibe throughout the place was energetic and lively, yet still cozy and welcoming. It struck the perfect balance between being family-friendly, fun, and a little romantic. You could see everyone around—from kids to adults—completely enjoying the atmosphere. The food and drinks lived up to the visual magic, too. We tried a mix of savory and sweet dishes, and everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Their seasonal drinks and signature coffees were delightful, and the service was smooth and attentive despite the crowd. Overall, The Grounds of Alexandria delivered a fantastic experience once again. With its creative themes, stunning decor, and top-notch food and drinks, it’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, the current Snow White theme is a must-see!

We really enjoyed our lunch here! The food and dessert were absolutely perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was also a charming winter-themed alley nearby, a lovely spot to explore after our meal.
