A Memorable Cricket Experience at an Iconic Venue! We recently attended the thrilling cricket match between Pakistan and Australia, and it was an unforgettable experience! The stadium is in fantastic condition, with well-maintained grounds and excellent facilities that made our visit comfortable and enjoyable. The atmosphere was electric, with both teams delivering a nail-biting performance that kept us on the edge of our seats. The crowd’s energy was contagious, and we all left with hoarse voices from cheering and chanting throughout the game. This venue isn’t just a historical gem but also a versatile one, hosting various events and sports. Located in an iconic setting, it’s a place that guarantees cherished memories every time we visit. A must-experience for any sports enthusiast!
It was a great experience! We took the train and got down at Central, crossed the tram lines and took the bus to Moore park stop. Walked across the huge car parking lawn to get to the stadium. The entry was quite easy and they do check your bags a little bit but not too fussy. You can take food and water, not sure about beverages. They also have merchandise and cafes behind the bays. We changed bays and seats since it was our first time experiencing a cricket match in person. The staff at the stadium were friendly and courteous and gave us tips to enhance our experience during our time there. We had reserved seats online, highly recommend. Glad we booked seats in bay 28, it had the best view of the pitch and the big screen. Plus the teams were sitting a little closer. Bays 28 and above are the best ones. Note that from the lowest 2-3 rows you will not be able to see the pitch, so although you get a closer glimpse at the players you may not get the full experience. The cafe behind bay 30 has one of the best fries! The washrooms are also closer. The best part was us fans were allowed to enter the ground and meet the players for pictures and autographs! It was indeed a great experience 👍🏻
Was lucky enough to catch a match here between the Swans and Giants and it was a heck of a comeback to witness firsthand!! Great vibes, fair prices (compared to American stadiums), and overall just had an absolute blast seeing a footie game again for the first time in 10+ years. Getting out of the stadium was definitely pretty time consuming as everyone is filtering back to the trains but I wouldn’t say it’s anything that’s way worse than most sports stadiums especially for a big game. Highly recommend catching a game here!
The Sydney Cricket Ground tour was a peaceful experience on a non-match day. The small museum featured interesting items like players' jerseys, offering a glimpse into cricket history. The weather was perfect, and with the tram station just minutes away, the visit was smooth and enjoyable—a great spot for cricket fans.
Well worth a visit, either on match day or simply on a tour. You can feel the atmosphere of history as you are on the hallowed grounds
