Located at 11 Montgomery Street, Mount Victoria, Hotel Etico is Australia’s first social enterprise hotel. Our Independence Program employs and trains young people with disability, providing them with hospitality and independent living skills allowing them to achieve their independence goals. Hotel Etico offers your team a unique experience through the interaction with our trainees. A lovely old style hotel with modern facilities. The concept behind Etico is brilliant, training your people with disabilities to work in the hospitality industry then finding positions for them and supporting them. The staff were all impressive and the young trainees were a delight. The restaurant food was very good and we enjoyed the Friday evening folk music. Would love to see more places like this in Australia. look forward to returning.

Hotel Etico is such a beautiful place to stay and the service and value for money is fantastic. My room was lovely and modern, and the building is amazing - filled with history and charm. The staff are brilliant and the program the hotel runs to support pathways to employment is incredibly well run. We went up for a team retreat and it was the perfect venue.

Our team at The Funding Network stayed at Hotel Etico this Monday. We had a planning day and we enjoyed the excellent service from the staff. The rooms were spacious clean and loved the ambience of the hotel. A great breakfast and wished we could have spent more time soaking up the sun on the verandah. Thank you team for an amazing stay! Rooms are modern considering the age of the building. Customer service was beyond helpful and lovely. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner there on my birthday- staff acknowledged this which was a kind gesture. Buffett breakfast done well- we had it 2 mornings in a row $15 if booked in advance and $20 on the day if not. Parking is right outside the driveway close by. FYI no elevator (is an older building so understandable).

I suspect this place might not suit everyone, but if you love old and gorgeous, this is the place for you. Beds are great. My room was smallish but had all I needed for a comfortable night’s stay. Felt looked after, even without staff in the building. Hope to stay again.
