Located at 11 Montgomery Street, Mount Victoria, Hotel Etico is Australia’s first social enterprise hotel. Our Independence Program employs and trains young people with disability, providing them with hospitality and independent living skills allowing them to achieve their independence goals. Hotel Etico offers your team a unique experience through the interaction with our trainees. Exceptional meal & live music on a Friday evening 22 November, 2024. We booked a table in the conservatory and were thrilled. Food top class, 5 star. We choose garlic pizza as an entree (plenty of cheese & garlic), Pasta with garlic prawns & white wine sauce (delicious) with chocolate cake or orange almond cake for dessert. Also a good wine list. This is the only Social Enterprise Hotel in Australia & deserves much fanfare and support. Thanks to all involved. Setting is a beautiful old building with period furniture. Looks like a great place to stay within walking distance of train station. If we weren’t dog sitting for friends we’d definitely stay!

A lovely old style hotel with modern facilities. The concept behind Etico is brilliant, training your people with disabilities to work in the hospitality industry then finding positions for them and supporting them. The staff were all impressive and the young trainees were a delight. The restaurant food was very good and we enjoyed the Friday evening folk music. Would love to see more places like this in Australia. look forward to returning.

Hotel Etico is such a beautiful place to stay and the service and value for money is fantastic. My room was lovely and modern, and the building is amazing - filled with history and charm. The staff are brilliant and the program the hotel runs to support pathways to employment is incredibly well run. We went up for a team retreat and it was the perfect venue.

An absolutely enchanting hotel, steeped in history and unique character. A warm welcome followed by excellent and caring service. Our dining experience began with cosy drinks by the fireplace, the meals were superb especially the lamb’s shoulder that melted in my mouth. A wonderful ambiance throughout. We are looking forward to enjoying the rest of our stay and will definitely be back. Well done to all staff. Bravo!

We had a wonderful time last Friday night at Hotel Etico, we came for cocktails which were amazing, and dinner - delicious, and to listen to Australia's only "old time fiddle band" who were absolutely extraordinary. As usual the service was warm and friendly, the ambience cozy and relaxed. I can't praise Hotel Etico enough for always providing a fabulous night out.
