We came here as a group of two, excited to enjoy some steak — but the service was shockingly bad from the very beginning. No one came to take our order after we sat down, so we had to go and order by ourselves. Then a Turkish bread was brought to our table without any cutlery. We politely said “Excuse me?” and asked for cutlery, but the waitress completely ignored us and acted like she didn’t hear. When we went up again to ask, she responded with an unbelievably rude tone, saying we could only get cutlery when the steak arrived. What kind of attitude is that? This is basic service. We felt completely disrespected and unwelcome. What made it even more confusing was that the lady at the front desk — who helped us order — was extremely friendly, patient, and warm. Her professionalism was in stark contrast to the cold and dismissive attitude of the waitress. So we are left wondering — is it normal here that customers don’t get cutlery with their starters? Or that staff just ignore you when you speak to them? Or are we simply not worth being listened to? This experience was honestly upsetting and ruined our meal. I sincerely hope the manager sees this and takes it seriously — no customer deserves to be treated like this.

We visited for lunch and while the atmosphere was fairly quiet for a Monday afternoon, the real standout was the barramundi—perfectly cooked, fresh, and full of flavour. Unfortunately, our experience was let down a little by a mix-up with our order being forgotten by being not sent to the kitchen, which meant a longer-than-expected wait. Staff were apologetic once it was flagged, but it did impact the overall experience. That said, the quality of the food made up for it to some extent. Would give it another try, hopefully with smoother service next time!

As I always rate plain burgers, I did the same at this venue. My Burger and my wife's burramundi were excellent. I could not fault the hamburger. Service, ambience and locations were amazing. Thanks to the team at Honeysuckle Hotel.

Nice view over the harbour. Had the Honeysuckle Snitzle I think it was called. Just don't think the salad had any dressing on it, if so, was minimal. Otherwise nice. Not locals, so a one off for us, but would eat here again.

Just Pub grub, and far from brilliant. I think it may be popular due to its location, because the food wasn't exceptional. With the number of other restaurants nearby, you would think the food would be better. I'm no chef, but I'm really confident the Hollandaise sauce with the barramundi was out of a packet. Who wants packet sauce on their meal out. Not me.
