Delicious parmi - my rating is based on my parmi. My friend had a fried Nashville chicken burger and he rated that 4/5. We both had really nice hand cut chips and a bit of green on the side. Nice little spot, chill and kids eat free on Sundays (although I don’t have kids 😂). Anyway - worth a visit if you want good, honest pub food!
Dropped into Henley’s Bar for a breather and a bottle of Prosecco ($85 with Sunday surcharge). Staff were polished and the vibe was good at first. But as we were finishing the bottle, a staff member started moving chairs behind us, bumping my chair twice with loud scraping noises before explaining they needed to set up for a singer. It felt clumsy — and honestly, a bit less than fair to paying guests. I can be quite particular about curating a nice experience for my companion, and the moment was unexpectedly jinxed. A simple heads‑up before rearranging furniture around customers would’ve made the experience much smoother. Decent bar, but this small act of embarrassment took the shine off the visit; and still mildly intrigued us. For context: My partner and I chose Henley’s because it’s usually a comfortable, low‑pressure spot where we can quietly decompress — phones out, in our little bubble, just enjoying a peaceful moment together. That’s part of the 'trust' I place in the venue. So when the chairs were moved abruptly behind us and my seat was bumped twice without warning, it broke that sense of ease. A small moment, but it mattered because it disrupted the quiet bubble we were in and the trust that made us choose the bar in the first place.
The bar has a view to the harbour. Upstairs supposedly equipped with a pool table for good fun (supposedly because there was a private birthday party so I didn't get to check the pool table myself 🎱 🫣) There was a band playing live music and singing, which was an incredible performance. Although, I wished that the sound was lower so it plays in the background and we can enjoy our conversation. We kind of rushed to finish our wine bottle cause it was too noisy we couldn't hear each other. If not the loud music, I would be happy to visit again to play the pool next time.
Jade is such an amazing person and took excellent care of me making sure my meal was good and delivered everything with a smile. The combination of the bbq pizza and a hang was mouth watering and a beautiful pairing. Will be coming back again and bring heaps of people with me next time.
Had a spice bag and Guinness on St Patrick's day spice bag was great! Hopefully they can add permanently to the menu!
