A great family-friendly resort. We had a great time with our 6 year old. There was so much for him to do - slides, pool, games, movies, activities... We didn't stop the whole time. the food at the cafe there was also surprisingly good! Best Caesar salad I've had in a long time! The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. They found us different pillows when we asked, served us a plate of delicious veggies when we felt like something a little healthier (even though it wasn't on the menu). I'd highly recommend this place for anyone with kids.
It's a nice Hotel, but it's dated. The rooms are comfortable, but the kids' play area smelled a little and needed a little love. Otherwise, it was fine. The pool was too cold for the kids so everyone - Kids and adults were in the spa But more so the food was horrible. - an even the fine dinning Embers, which was made to feel 'exclusive and hard to get into' was very average and overpriced for the quality of food. (nice wine selection though) - to give you context we even got a schnitzel brought out raw for the kids - which thankfully the staff asked us to cut up and check. BUT this meant by kids meal was not brought out before ours... it was all just honestly a VERY BAD experience. both nights at the hotel and I would NOT eat there at all should I have known the quality Staff though were mostly lovely an extra shout out to Awn from breakfast & Karen team lead I believe
Our stay was good, plenty for the kids to do. Indoor pool was definitely not heated so our toddler could not go in for more than 5 minutes without her lips going blue, OK for the older kids though who could warm up in the spa after. High tea was average. Took a number of phone calls and emails to book as they do not take reservations over the phone and I was provided incorrect emails on four separate occasions by the front desk. When we arrived at the restaurant they had booked our just turned 2 year old in for a full high tea and prepared her food so we were made to pay for this which she did not eat. Had I been able to speak with someone on the phone at the time of booking I would have been able to discuss this with them and explain that she would not be able to eat all that food.
A great hotel if you’re looking for a family-friendly holiday! The facilities they have to offer are very welcoming for children of all ages. We are a couple with a toddler, and we were blown away by what was on offer here. They have an arcade, 2 indoor playgrounds, 1 outdoor playground, tennis courts, children’s garden maze, a giant chess board in the garden, a giant rainbow slide, a train ride, merry go round, cinema room, library, indoor pool (with sauna, parents room/bathroom, 2 shower rooms), outdoor pool, a pond with ducks where you can ride electric boats, an ice skating rink and a wall fish tank in the lobby. We stayed in room 432 which had such an amazing view of the valley and lots of space for my little one to play in. The only recommendations/improvements are: 1. We were hoping to buy their duck toy (hotel’s mascot), however, they only provide this to children for stays during the school holidays, so if they had stock as an option for guests to purchase for kids at all times, this would make a great memorabilia for the children’s stays. 2. PowerPoints were not next to the bed, if this could be provided in the rooms it would make much more sense for charging devices. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!
I had an awesome Birthday weekend break with my pups in a pet friendly room. The room and all facilities were great. The restaurants and casual dining area were great and so was the food. The visit to the spa was lovely and the walks around the resort and region were beautiful. The lovely warm spring weather enhanced the visit with all the local trees and plants sprouting early flowers. The local town centre in Leura wasn't far from the resort and had the local shops had something for everyone. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer.
