Sydney's newest jazz venue. Located in Ultimo, it's a world-class venue dedicated to keeping Australia's vibrant music scene alive - especially the jazz and world music related parts of the scene. This space s incredibly well suited to live...
Amazing intimate jazz venue with class acts. Just saw The Catholics on Saturday. Always a sure bet. Fantastic to see Sandy Evans still blowing us away - literally! The food is ok but not tge main point of going to this venue. Though I must say the hot chocolate and biscoff cheesecake were spot on.
We have been here many times, but the food / service is so slow that we will not be back. We place our orders at 8:30, when the first set started. 3 cakes, 1 ice cream and an Eton mess. At 9:30 we chased it up, and was told that they had asked the kitchen to rush it out. At 10 the ice cream came out, at 10:15 Eton mess, running down the side of the glass came out with a slice of cake. At 10:30 the show finished, we were still saying goodbye at 10:40 when the last two cakes came out. But we didn’t get to eat them. Waiting more than 2 hours for food is pathetic, especially since it’s just a dessert. The music is amazing, but you have to buy food to book a seat and the speed of delivery is unacceptable.
Understaffed, underprepared, overpriced, but gosh darn the female singer was incredible. Worth the $17 tequila shots.
Came here for a Valentine’s Day surprise and to put it shortly I was definitely surprised by the horrible service by all the staff members. As we walked in a boy with curly hair approached us with little if any enthusiasm and said that we just had to find a place to stand around. He pointed to the bar and generally waved his hands around to show where we could linger and stand awkwardly between tables. His description of this case did not make excited to be there in the slightest. Another instance was when a girl with arm tattoos and a plait with a scrunchie said that I had to move even though I was sitting in an unreserved area. She claimed that I stole the seat from that table when it was already there when I got there. There was also 4 available seats at the table next to us, horrible initiative and attitude. The deli board was plain and the ham had little to no flavour wouldn’t be surprised if they got the meat from the wollies down the street. Music was beautiful but we did leave early due to the general uncomfortable nature and horrible customer service.
Extremely slow service. Waited close to 1hr just for our fri as and entrees to come out. Dinner was also very slow. Atmosphere and vibe was amazing. What a great live band
