We held our wedding here in mid September 2024. It was the perfect venue for our 45 guests, and we all had such a good time. All the different areas of the venue were amazing, and a great match for each section of the evening. The food was out of this world, and there was more than enough - even our dietary requirement guests raved about their speciality dishes and the level of service to ensure they knew all their options. We went with the shared platters option and our guests loved being able to choose. They're still talking about how good it was! The decor is very easy to work with, we went with bright flowers and accessories and it was the perfect mix of elegance and fun. We were a little worried the space would feel too big with our smaller guest list, but the space is so versatile and it felt nice and intimate. We had a few older people, as well as some babies and everyone was accommodated for, and the various spaces meant there was plenty of quiet spots for chill out time in between the festivities. Both Jessica and Emma were so easy to work with, and so professional. Any questions in the lead up were answered quickly, and we were clear on what we needed to provide and when. The wait staff on the night were friendly and attentive, genuinely couldn't fault anyone. We would definitely recommend the venue for future couples. It is a beautiful location and very fairly priced.

This was my first experience of a high tea and whilst it isn't something I would be rushing back to experience again, the location, service and staff certainly made this experience fantastic. Looking out over the harbour, the location is definitely an escape. The staff were very attentive and made sure we were looked after very well. The food was delicious, especially the savoury treats. Loved the beef tartare.

The best high tea in Sydney? Definitely one of the best with the views to boot. Service is attentive and prompt. You can taste the freshness in the food served. The scones are the highlights. Baked to perfection. The selections of tea is the envy of other places. Lovely atmosphere too. Make sure you spend some time looking around the Barracks and the sandstone structures. There is also a walking track that helps you to burn a few calories after a sumptuous meal.

I love a good high tea and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The desserts were definitely the highlight for me and they were each perfectly balanced in flavour and texture. The sandwiches were good although nothing mind blowing. The scones were probably my least favourite, I wish they were served warm and in a (much) smaller size with more portions. I’m being hyper critical here because overall this is a fabulous place to the high tea if you’re a fan. The gorgeous view and attentive service doesn’t hurt either. I even got a special cake with a candle since it was my birthday

We had our wedding at Gunners Barracks in August 2024 and it was amazing! We could not recommend Gunners Barracks enough. Gabriella our event coordinator was so helpful throughout the planning process answering all our questions and being really supportive with our every need. Tom, the venue manager on the wedding was incredible - so attentive to all detail, on top of the the run sheet and was such a lovely and kind person to deal with. Gunners Barracks was able to accommodate quite a few complex dietaries and many of our guests highly rated the food which was so delicious! Thanks again to all the staff who supported us on our wedding day. We couldn't have dreamed of a better day and would recommend Gunners Barracks to anyone!
