Drop in for a wine tasting, relax with a cheese platter or pick up a bottle of wine to go. The venue takes its guests on an Australian wine journey through some of the best wine regions in Australia, including Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, Tasmania, Barossa, Margaret River and beyond.
In addition to their daily wine tastings and wines by the glass offered in the lounge, Handpicked’s cellar door offers two truly unique spaces for your functions. Handpicked’s Experience Room is perfect for corporate functions such as board meetings and team building events, private parties and educational wine experiences.
Guests can enjoy choosing from the cellar door’s list of 60 different wines and a large variety of imported cheese and charcuterie. Stumbled on here searching for a wine tasting place in the city. They had a variety of flight selections that should serve everyone, all with cheese pairing available. We had the oysters + wine pairing first followed by a Trial by Fire flight and the Singles flight. All were way beyond our expectations, including the cheese pairing and cold cuts. The table next to us also bought some of the cold cuts in addition to the wine. They are generous with letting you taste the wines you’re interested in ordering, and have a wide range of high quality that should suit your needs. Most importantly the service staff made the whole experience memorable. We received the Thai member that ensured we had a 5 star experience but the others were also very pleasant. Would recommend anyone to come here to have a taste of some of the best Australia has to offer.

First visit. Recommended by a friend; took my mother who was visiting from UK. Absolutely superb. Venue is surgically clean and beautifully styled. Service is friendly, polite but not overbearing. Wine menu is vast, well curated and hilariously written. Food and food pairing is also excellent. Spent a couple of hours there and sampled two of their wine flights with a cheese pairing and honestly could have stayed and tried two more if we hadn’t got dinner booked. I will be defintely be returning soon and plan to purchase a number of the wines we sampled as gifts this Christmas. Just brilliant.

Handpicked Wines is the perfect city destinations for wine lovers with locations in both the heart of Sydney and Melbourne 🍷 We visited the Sydney location recently for their oyster season special and enjoyed freshly shucked oysters paired with curated wine flights and a plate of 12 oysters. The oysters were so fresh and delicious and the paired wines were to die for 💭 Shout out to Andrew, our host, who was so welcoming and talked us through the wines and the flavour profiles. We tasted wines from the Mornington Peninsula, Yarra Valley, Barossa Valley and Tasmania. Booked here for a corporate wine tasting event. It was all beautifully set up when we arrived with 6 wines and 6 cheeses per person. The staff were so kind and helpful and allowed time for everyone to arrive. The wine tasting experience was so fun and yum! Would totally come back here for more such experiences.

What a beautiful spot - great space and incredible service! And super central in the city. Really enjoyed the wine and oyster pairing, the oysters were fresh and toppings delicious and unique - highly recommend! Fantastic wine choices too.
