Great Location and Family-Friendly Stay We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point, and it was a very pleasant experience overall. Let me start with the highlights: The location is absolutely fantastic. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Kings Cross Train Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around Sydney. When we arrived at the airport, it was a quick and easy journey to the hotel – just 30 minutes from the airport to Central Station, and then a short trip to Potts Point. The accessibility of this location is a huge plus for travelers. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, and our kids were thrilled with the free ice cream and bonus treats – a lovely touch that made the stay even more enjoyable for the whole family. The room was standard but great – clean, comfortable, and everything worked as it should. It had all the essentials we needed for a relaxing stay. Plus, it was pretty cool to spot the Holiday Inn building from the Sydney Tower during our sightseeing adventures! Would we stay here again? Absolutely. The combination of a great location, friendly staff, and family-friendly perks makes this hotel a solid choice for our future trips to Sydney.
The room was clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and provided the perfect place to rest my head at night. I was really impressed with the service, specifically at the front desk and bar. Employees at the front desk were very positive and willing to help out. I had a couple questions regarding my reservation and regarding some of the charges regarding my stay. They were quick and polite to help me find answers. It’s located kitty corner to the big Coca-Cola sign - iconic. One downside to the location is that it’s a one way street with limited parking.
The service here has been top notch. Made our new years super special. The harbor view rooms were incredible for a first time visit to the city and overlooking the famous fireworks. Super easy access to kings cross station and public transportation. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel welcomed and helped anchor Sydney as a new favorite destination.
During my initial 2 days stay in this hotel, the guest lift was out of order. We were asked to use a dirty service lift to reach our room. Housekeeping also did a poor job. There was fresh toothpaste stain on the tap when we checked in. The black female staff at the breakfast counter was also impolite to us. When we arrived for breakfast, there was nobody manning the breakfast check in counter so we walked straight in. She shoo us back very rudely. The other staff in the cafe were all right. Room service staff were okay too. The location is good, next to King Cross station and there are several good restaurants nearby.
I stayed here for five nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is ideal, just a minute away from the subway station, and there are plenty of great restaurants and breakfast cafes nearby. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Sydney in the future.
