Indoor-outdoor Cantonese restaurant Pearl is Lotus Dining Group's most upmarket venue to date. Pearl is Sydney's lustrous embodiment of modern Cantonese cuisine. Drawing inspiration from the culinary craftsmanship of Hong Kong - the Pearl of the Orient - we aim to elevate and enhance the standards of Cantonese dining. Our ambition is not to imitate, but to innovate, harmonising Canton traditions with unique Sydney flair. Perched on the second floor of Sydney's Quay Quarter, Pearl offers a luxurious yet relaxed dining experience. A 200-strong wine list and signature cocktails further complement the exquisite menu, which is thoughtfully curated to showcase the finest ingredients sourced from local farmers and markets. Pearl Dining is an upscale Chinese restaurant serving authentic Cantonese cuisine. We came here last year to celebrate Lunar New Year and feasted on the banquet menu ($168 pp). All the dishes were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. The signature dry-aged double-roasted Peking duck was the standout as well as the live coral trout. I would like to make two minor points and suggestions: 1) The service missed the mark for me. In an ordinary restaurant this wouldn't matter but I found some staff to be inexperienced and not as courteous as one might expect. Perhaps, they were feeling the pressure with a full restaurant on the night and with the front of house manager glaring at them half the time. 2) We were treated with lion dancing on the evening and were probably one of the few tables that came prepared with red packets. It would have been nice if Pearl Dinining had distributed some red envelopes (which I saw they had with Pearl printed on it) to the diners beforehand. Small things like this would have enhanced the overall experience for everyone.

Went for birthday. Good service, atmosphere and food is actually quite authentic. The view to the bridge is mostly blocked so don’t expect a breathe-taking view. I was pleasantly surprised many customers are Chinese. Peking Duck is average. Skin not crispy enough, meat is bit dry. Love the wrap tho!! but its one of the rare places in Sydney where you can try Peking Duck and have it sliced in front if you. It’s still worth it if you want to try.

A modern Cantonese restaurant in Circular Quay. The restaurant gets busy, so it's good to book in advanced. Service is great, however there is a time limit per seating. Food wise, the serving size is slightly smaller than other Chinese restaurants, however the dishes were cooked well. The crispy pork is on point and the pipis are fresh. I recommend the Peking Duck, the fried milk dessert and the Maotai pearl bomb cocktail. Well balanced flavours. I recommend 😋😋👍

This Chinese restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience. The roast duck is absolutely delicious and tastes incredibly authentic, just like in Beijing. The shrimp dumplings and xiaolongbao are also well-made, with delicate flavors and textures that are spot on. The service is attentive and friendly, making sure every detail is taken care of. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Whether you’re looking for an authentic Chinese feast or just a casual dinner, this place is highly recommended. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
