My weekend getaway to explore Sydney was absolutely perfect. The hotel's location was excellent, offering easy access to all the attractions. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The view from my room was truly breathtaking, providing a stunning panorama of the city. The room itself was spacious and well-appointed, and the bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful and rejuvenating stay.
Great hotel and rooms views are excellent. However was confused why there was a cot set up in one of rooms? Access to all the VIVID attractions was unreal and worth staying in the city at the Pullman for this, even watching from the room until it finishes at 11pm. Rooms were clean and well maintained, but starting to show their age, not old. Excellent access to a fantastic selection of restaurants.
From the moment we arrived staff were friendly and helpful. We had booked a harbour view room to be in the centre of Vivid. The view and location were sensational. We could watch Vivid projections on the MCA and the bridge from our room and balcony. Everything we wanted to access (Opera House, botanical gardens, ferry to Manly, trains, cafes and restaurants) were a short walk. Our room had a small kitchen and laundry - we used both. This was our first time staying at the Pullman Circular Quay and we will be back.
We chose the Pullman as this had the best view to watch VIVID, plus stayed at this hotel twice before. We had a two-bedroom suite. The Master Bedroom and on suite the shower didn't work correctly, the pressure was too low and just drippled out. We shared the second bathroom, with our teenage children. This shower was not that great either, plus the pipes in the main bathroom would start a high pitch squeal. To stop the ear-splitting squeal, we had to run the tap in the sink. We informed reception twice. but still nothing was done. we found the overall staff to seem to listen but didn't act upon requests. I don’t think I would stay again. To pay high $$ to have not a great room or hotel experience, there was no apology nor offer of compensation. We did get to watch VIVID from the tiny balcony.
We could not fault our accommodation. Fully self contained apartment with 2 bedrooms looking straight into the bridge. Perfect location to get to trains, tram, ferries. Warm pool. The bar has a beautiful balcony over the quay.
