•We’re a 'Chef Hatted' restaurant and bar in North Bondi that focuses on coastal, seasonal food with a European feel. We're dedicated to quality, only using the very best seasonal produce from the land and sea. Our menus are created by one of the most exciting, awarded and experienced kitchen teams in the country, headed up by chef and co-owner Darren Robertson and chef Stuart Toon. Within four months of opening, Rocker was awarded a chef’s hat by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide and featured in the Delicious Top 100, amongst others. Led by two exceptional chefs, our kitchen team is extremely experienced in catering for small and large numbers and creating food that is talked about, elevating every meal whether it be a casual affair or black tie function. We can tailor our food and drinks offering to any type of event whether it’s a cocktail and canapés function, grazing tables or a gala dinner. We don’t just stop with amazing food though, we like to think of the whole guest experience and that’s why we’ve teamed with beverage experts Sweet&Chilli to create world-class drinking experiences. We are now looking to cater for your special occasion. Whether it's a wedding reception, bar mitzvah, sit down dinner or cocktail party we want to cater for you. Whether it be at our restaurant, one of our preferred offsite venues or at an office space of your choosing we offer a bespoke service designed to give you a day to remember. The food at this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We ordered 5-6 dishes between 3 people and it was the perfect amount. The bread & butter to start was absolutely delicious. The stand out dishes for me was the brussel sprout salad with ceaser dressing (i could eat this every day - yum) & the Burrata was absolutely wild. Highly recommend this place for a casual afternoon in Bondi. There is something for everyone on the menu!
As a Sunday Roast virgin, i was searching for a decent place that’s not your typical loud pub and Rocker delivered. Love its cafe / bistro vibes and the fact that it’s just stone’s throw away from the beach. Had the BIG Roast & Cauliflower Cheese, more than enough for 2 adults, even had decent leftover for another filling meal.
Really enjoyed this restaurant food was excellent. A few little things could be improved but loved it overall. The focaccia is so good. Broccolini is so good. The potatoes and rib eye were super. The prawn pasta was really enjoyable. Beef tartare was different in the little leaf. Pumpkin has a good flavour and had a kick to it. Def need to give steak knifes in future to people who order steak. Service was friendly. Highly recommend. And location is great
I recently visited Rocker Bondi for a bottomless brunch, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. Despite booking for 1.5 hours, our mains didn’t arrive until just over an hour in, leaving us with hardly any time to enjoy our food. To make things worse, there were multiple occasions when our table had no drinks, which goes against the whole bottomless concept. We found ourselves constantly having to flag down staff or even go to the bar just to place orders. When we asked about our meals or drinks, the staff seemed visibly frustrated and rude, which only added to the poor experience. To top it off, two of the glasses we received were dirty, which isn’t acceptable for what’s advertised as a premium experience. Overall, we were left feeling that the service didn’t live up to expectations, and for the price, we feel extremely disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this experience was far from what we anticipated, and I can’t imagine we’d recommend this to others in its current state.
Wonderful service and the food was pretty good! The only downfall was the potatoes were quite burnt and didn’t taste nice at all. Apart from that, we were so happy with the friendly service, nice atmosphere and tasty food!
