We loved this hotel! It is welcoming, interesting, not too shiny. The staff are kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. And what a great area! We like to walk and walked everywhere, including the opera house. The breakfast is included if you join the loyalty club and it is a great start to the day, a variety of hot dishes, and birscher muesli. Already planning my next visit!
Located near the Sydney Museum and St. Paul Cathedral and Hyde park. The rooms are spacious. In the morning do watch the sunrise from behind the buildings outside the window. You can see the Harbour bridge from the rooms on the top floors. Everyday in the morning we used to watch the hot air balloons fly by outside the window. The hotel is located in not so crowded area and train station and bus stops are just outside/ walkable. The staff are courteous and friendly and were able to help me with hiring a car or parking at the hotel. The parking charges are nominal. But there are few restaurants and lounge in walkable distance. Away from the crowded places one can enjoy staying here.
Great location. Cheap underground parking. Cozy rooms. If you get their membership you will get complimentary breakfast which is a great deal for that price. Find the entrance for parking is bit trickier but hey it’s only one time hassle. I wish they have a system for giving sort of pass for paid customers because I had to go to the lobby to validate my parking ticket every time I was going out. Even though it’s a 10seconds job I still had to go there. For example in a hotel I stayed in Melbourne, they added my plate number to their system. So when I reached to the gate it’s automatically scanned my plate and opened the gate. Very convenient 👌
I had the opportunity to visit my son on several occasions while he was staying at this particular hotel. Overall, I found the hotel to be rather ordinary, with its main advantage being its excellent location on William Street. However, I do feel that there is room for improvement when it comes to the hotel's customer service. It would greatly benefit from staff members who are able to anticipate the needs of their guests and proactively address them. Additionally, a warm and welcoming smile goes a long way in creating a positive and memorable experience for guests, so I would suggest that the staff work on being more engaging rather than appearing shy or avoiding eye contact. By focusing on these aspects, the hotel can enhance the overall guest experience and elevate its level of service.
Myself and a family member have just spent 4 nights at this hotel. Yes it may be dated, but it was clean and tidy, the beds were really comfy, plenty of tea coffee and milk for a late night cuppa. The shower pressure was excellent given that we were quite high up. Plenty of toiletries, and the location right on the doorstep for the opera house etc. The ONLY negative is the requested clean towels did not appear in our room. As soon as this was mentioned to reception that night, the clean towels were swiftly provided.
