The high tea was a lovely experience. The dining area with lovely large windows was nice to feel like you were enjoying the outside views of the garden and natural light without the wind. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Our main hostess Maria was very sweet and even offered to take photos for us. The high tea was yummy and very filling. A highchair was provided (which was freshly wiped down in front of us to show it was clean for our little one, which was really appreciated).
Stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The room was very clean, loved the style and has great views. Breakfast was delicious, all you can eat, with fantastic staff who had lovely chats with me and my partner and were welcoming. The restaurant was closed when we went but the bar was open everyday and night. Walked around the property and there are lovely views, chickens, big turkeys and a Vegetable garden to see. Location is so close to Cessnock central and around the corner from Hanging Tree Wines which was an amazing experience. Overall I had the best time and will be returning (mostly for the pool/spa area).
Please don't book here to ensure there is always a room available for me. We had an absolutely wonderful time and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff - all of them - who went above and beyond for even the most trivial requests. Room was lovely and I enjoyed the benefits from my Platinum Elite privileges which included a celestial choir singing and the heavens opening as my room was upgraded despite a wedding party clogging all the nicer rooms. Bastards. The hot tub could use an upgrade but couldn't we all... The jar of "signature salt" on arrival was one of the more unusual welcome gifts I've received but will be put to good use rubbing in the wounds of people who haven't had the benefit of staying at this lovely property.
Excellent holiday escape hotel, it always to be the one for Sydney residents. We have been here for several times. Beautiful European style garden house and the rose garden. Warm swimming pool for the winter. Beautiful sun rise and sunset with the Mountain view. And a lot more! Of course the excellent food! Definitely, we will come back.
This place is such a hidden gem! The bed is extremely comfortable. Gym had a full squat rack, sauna, treadmill, elliptical and bike plus a cable machine for various exercises. The indoor pool area is beautiful with a hot tub. The views allow for both sunset and sunrise. The grounds are large enough to walk your dog. They set up dog bowls and a dog bed for our dog when we arrived. The food was pretty good with large portions. The staff were so polite and extremely helpful. Especially Monique! Thanks so much for being so nice to us. The only downsides were that we could hear everything from the people upstairs and that we could not leave our dog in the room to go to dinner so we had to order rom service for every meal. You can bring your dog to eat outside, but this is off season and quite cold. Either way all the other amenities made up for it. So I would still give it all the stars because most dog friendly places aren’t so nice and that the staff were just so nice. I would absolutely stay here again and 100% recommend for people traveling with dogs.
