Was quite good with reasonably priced room service but with $10 additional fee for room service. Rooms were good and toilets were quite big. View was nice with big windows. Breakfast buffet has all the normal things and also healthier drink options which is quite cool. However, they would not let us to the level 36 without buying something as we wanted to take photographs of the view. You have to climb lots of stairs to walk around which can be rather tiring but it is in quite a central location.

We got the deluxe room and had a view of harbour bridge and opera house. The room rate is fine. Just the valet parking is 100+ something but alright. There's also a deposit fee for the room. Well overall, we enjoyed and it's alright. I will share a view from above

Altitude:Level 36 High Tea. Had a fantastic experience at the gorgeous High Tea on Level 36. The service was excellent. We went for the unlimited bubbles on the menu and we were topped up continuously so def good value. Staff were attentive but not over bearing. They just arrived at the perfect time. We were the last to leave but didn’t feel rushed either. The food was excellent. And very yum! They catered for non seafood and bought a beautiful extra plate for a friend who’s bday it was. Of course the views are next level over the best Harbour in the world! Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you just want to be a tourist in your own city (as we were)

The Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney is the epitome of luxury! Conveniently located right in the heart of downtown, it was perfect for accessing all the nearby attractions we wanted to visit. The staff was exceptionally nice, friendly, and courteous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The views from both the room and the restaurant were absolutely stunning, showcasing the beauty of Sydney. One of the most memorable aspects was the breakfast—such an incredible variety of delicious options! I was also impressed that they carried all the top-shelf spirits I'm used to drinking in the U.S., which added an extra touch of comfort. The rooms were spacious, immaculate, and beautifully appointed, offering everything you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. I truly cannot wait to return! This place exceeded all expectations!

We were happy with an upgrade to begin with. Decided we wanted to stay on and asked if we booked on could we keep the same room and not have to check out and we followed those instructions, paying a much higher rate for the upgrade to not have to leave our room. To then be called 1 hour later to come down and redo a card hold, getting to the desk we were told we have to check out and wait several hours for another room. Very very frustrating and not thr relaxing break we envisaged. On the last day we used the lounge breakfast and received below par service, ordering tea and coffee to not receive anything. Guests at the next table also left as they didn't receive any either. Disappointed, not what we expected
