I had dinner at Botanica Restaurant in Vaucluse this past Saturday and I was genuinely impressed by both the service and the cuisine. As an Italian, I can say I have a strong cultural connection to food—and this was something truly special. The dishes were full of flavour, with a brilliant fusion of tastes that managed to be both innovative and deeply comforting. Head Chef Abby has done an outstanding job creating food that speaks to the emotions—every plate was a small journey for the palate. On top of that, the service in the dining room was exceptional. It was a real pleasure to meet Sara, the restaurant manager. She was not only incredibly professional, but the way she introduced the dishes and guided the experience made me forget everything else for two hours. A special mention also goes to the assistant floor manager, who supported the service seamlessly and contributed to the relaxed, well-organised atmosphere throughout the night. And the barman deserves credit too—he prepared some truly excellent cocktails that paired perfectly with the food and helped us strike just the right balance between flavour and fun. It was more than just a dinner—it was an experience, and one I’d highly recommend to anyone. A solid 5 stars from me.
The Botanica is truly a gem! From the moment we walked in, we felt so welcomed by the staff including Bianca, the lovely manager, were so accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is simply divine – it's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great company. We celebrated Galentine’s Day with the girls, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The food was absolutely amazing! The Murray Cod was definitely a standout – so fresh and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was delicious, and we couldn’t stop talking about it! This place really knows how to make you feel special. We will definitely be coming back to The Botanica for more fantastic food and an all-around great experience. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful time with great food and service!
Gorgeous windows looking onto plants. The tables were spread along the windows (we barely heard a large bridal shower). Food was well presented. Portion sizes were small, my wagyu had a large fatty end on it. You ordered a side separately (like asparagus). Bathroom was amazingly well equipped with anything you could want. We did not drink.
We had the most amazing 3-course lunch at The Botanica Vaucluse. The atmosphere is serene and elegant! it truly feels like a garden escape in the heart of Sydney. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, with a clear focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. We love that the entire menu is 100% coeliac-friendly, and features sustainably sourced seafood, free-range meats, and garden-grown produce. Every dish felt thoughtful and balanced - the Scallops, Calamari, Wagyu, Lamb, Murray cod, Chocolate Crémeux and strawberry clafoutis were our standout favourites! The cocktails were a highlight too - refreshing, well-crafted, and a perfect match for the setting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a refined, farm-to-plate dining experience with incredible attention to detail!
The most stylish restaurant I’ve visited. Their seafood dishes are so fresh and delicious, especially their bay bug. A work of art. Dessert highly recommended their dark chocolate Jaffa dome. Also their dishes are gluten free They also have a beautiful garden behind the restaurant, just ask the lovely staff to show you 😉
