Never been so disappointed with my food before at a restaurant. Got the roast of the day which was brisket. Pieces are hard like rock, dry and tasteless. Any chef should be ashamed to serve this. Partner got the Marinara and hasn’t had one so bad before. From what I could see when I went up and paid there was 5 chefs on, how is it possible to produce such bad quality of food with that many people on? On top of this, service is just as disappointing. However the location is great and the venue is nice if you want a drink.
We had our staff Christmas party at the hotel last Friday. The venue was perfect. Staff very friendly and chilled and the food was outstanding! Also plenty of things going on like karaoke and a comedy night. We all had a fantastic night. Would highly recommend for a function.
The location was good and there is a great playground for the kids. The food however, left a lot to be desired. Prices are fairly comparable to other places, but the parmigiana had such a bizarre taste I stopped halfway through fearing the chicken was off. Irrespective of the taste, it was so overcooked and tough I probably would have given up anyway. The kids burger came out with an extremely dark brown, overcooked bun. I wonder if anyone sees the food leaving the kitchen and asks themselves “would I be happy if I paid money to be served this?”. To be fair the calamari entree was delicious and I didn’t come down with food poisoning. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Went to see The Angels on 30/11/24. Great Show. Food was fairly good. But the main meal was on our table shortly after our starter was served. Had no time to enjoy the starter. Great wood fired pizza. Rump steak was good. The seafood platter was OK. Value for money was pretty good. The major disappointment for the night was the lack of bar staff. For such an event people were queuing up all night. Then they shut the back bar down and that made the side bar even busier. On saying this I would definitely go back. I was on holidays up from Geelong. I think I will return in late February to see Ross Wilson.
The place looks good and has good views. Pity the food was well below standard!!! Steak was thin and poor quality with no dressing on salad. Thai beef salad was flooded with dressing!! (Like at least 1/2 cup flooded) Staff were young and inexperienced. Considering quality and prices elsewhere on the island we didn't return to this venue...
