The menu is very small but not boring. We enjoyed every dish we had especially the short rib with pineapple jam. The flavours for each dish were exceptional. Our cocktails packed with sophisticated tastes. I would recommend Azteca for people who are looking to dine in a tapas style way. Will be back.

Unique and experimental like Soko from the same group. Staff were attentive throughout, with plenty of tables vacant during Thursday's 6.30-7.30. The lady waitress was very nice in her attitudes, tones, and explanations of each section on the menu. Food wise, the quail was nicely seasoned. Overall, nothing particularly impressive. Also, as other people mentioned in the reviews, food serving was a bit slow despite seeming to be quiet at the time of my visit. While it is still worth visiting if it is on your list and want to see what their fusion plates are like, it would be better not to have too much expectation if you are brought by Instagrammers' posts.

Went to this restaurant with my partner last month for dinner. The staff were kind and attentive, with some great recommendations. One of the waitresses even surprised us with a free dessert and a personalised card, which was such a lovely touch. Overall, a really great experience!

Located at the brilliantly designed The Star casino entertainment complex is the Spanish inspired Azteca restaurant. The food was generally very tasty but I have always felt trying to have dinner with soo many small tasting style portions become a mess of a meal without any head or tail. Tapas works in Spain but in Australia we changed it around to end up with a confusing array…. Service was in general very good and staff showed great interest and enthusiasm. The restaurant design was cool as do most of the restaurants in the complex look. The Star is a great addition to Brisbane and brings a nice point of difference to the city. Make sure you venture to the complex be it for dinner or just a tour! Enjoy

Settled on this place after trying close to every other one and getting a rude response about our dietary restrictions, two vegan and one with gluten restrictions. Our waiter (tim?) was really nice and super helpful, walked through things and got the kitchen to modify items to suit. Checked in on us regularly. Amazing service and the food and drinks really were very delicious. A very nice restaurant but the level of care the staff gave us elevated it to next level and made for a night to remember
