We had an excellent experience at Capri. Stayed for two nights mid week in February. Hotel was busy but systems seemed streamlined with a self-service station. Check-in and out took less than a minute and we could skip the line. Room has everything you need for a short stay. Best hotel gym I have seen in a while and all areas including our room were spotless. The few engagements we had with staff were all friendly. Cannot fault that place and will be back for sure.
Location - perfect. Room - pretty standard for a hotel room. However - the housekeeping standard was horrendous - some phantom dried gunk on the desk area, bin not emptied, bathroom shower area had water stains and spots as if it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I ordered room service for dinner - passable meal - but they must have thought I really wanted my leftovers because it was still in my room the next day when I got back, and again still outside my room the next morning.
This was our first time in Brisbane and we’re so glad we stayed at Capri by Fraser — it ended up being our favorite stop during our travels around Australia. Check-in was quick and easy, and the location made it simple to get around the city on foot. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a few nights. We made good use of the facilities — especially the gym, which was much better than most hotel gyms we’ve come across. The indoor pool was nice to have as well, and the laundry facilities were a bonus after a few weeks on the road. Everything just felt easy and relaxed here. Brisbane really surprised us and staying at Capri definitely added to that experience. We’d happily come back.
I had a really pleasant stay at the Capri. The welcome by the night receptionist was fine and the check-in process was relatively easy. I was given a room on the 15th floor which was nice and quiet. Upon opening my door there was the overwhelming smell of urine, although as I walked into the room that dissipated. The room itself was neat and tidy and modern, and the bed was big and comfortable and clean. The bathroom required a little more attention to cleanliness: there were big soap splodges from somebody else in the shower and no body wash in the soap dispenser. There was also a questionable smear on the tile behind the toilet button. One of my pillows smelled very intensely of curry - I can only imagine the previous occupant must have been out for a nice meal. I appreciated the mini kitchenette with fridge and sink and the rest of the room was well resourced, with an ironing board, a safe and some slippers and robes. It felt like a typical four star hotel and I would stay again.
A nice comfortable hotel in the city centre, which would suit an extended stay as well as a short stopover. My room was on the eleventh floor overlooking apartments opposite and was really spacious. With the microwave and sink area at the front of the room made it feel more like a small apartment and the modern decor was clean and functional with everything you’d need present. The bed was large with electric sockets at both sides, as well as reading lamps and an alarm clock. There was plenty of storage space and a decent working desk. The bathroom was colourful and equally as spacious as the main bedroom. The large walk-in shower had storage and decent toiletries in dispensers and everywhere was perfectly clean. Checking in and out was a breeze with friendly staff and it was nice they had an umbrella to borrow during the awful weather! I’d certainly stay here again and if you’re looking for quiet comfortable rooms right in the centre I’d recommend.
