Made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Like stepping back in time to where people took the time to consider the best outcomes for the patron. Room was very comfortable with a blend of old world charm and modern fixtures. Quiet at night. Restaurant downstairs offered intimate surroundings, live background music and the food was 5 star quality and larger portion sizes than expected. If you're looking for an intimate getaway that offers a bubble balancing modern convenience with antiquity, allowing you to enjoy Brisbane as a tourist destination, then this place is for you. Special mention to the care and attention afforded by the restaurant staff, and in particular Cindy, who went out of her way to look after us. The musician that played jazz in the background had a voice that was pitch perfect and sounded like Christopher Cross. All round thumbs up.
I had a wonderful one night stay at the Inchcolm. The highlights of this place are the excellent and friendly staff, the bar and drinks on offer and the heritage feel to the hotel. I booked a large heritage suite located in the older part of the hotel but was delighted to be told by Bree over the phone that I would receive a complimentary upgrade to a slightly larger City View Suite (room 307) located in the newer part of the hotel. I also booked a Inchcolm Indulge package which gave me a $100 credit to be used for drinks and food. In my opinion the indulge package is value for money and I recommend you book this option as it's quite a generous add on. As I was staying on a Sunday unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open so I used my credit on drinks. I loved the ambience of the bar and the variety of cocktails on offer was amazing. Eden was super efficient in running the bar by herself on a Sunday night which was surprisingly quite busy and she did an excellent job with serving everyone in a timely manner! I was very happy with my room, it was modern and the bathroom extremely clean with an extraction fan working 24/7 to ensure great ventilation and no mould. The only improvements I would recommend is dusting the window sills as they had a bit of dust on them and also replacing the mattress or providing a mattress topper in 307 as it did sag ever so slightly with just myself in the bed and I'm not a large person! The fact you can adjust and dim the lighting in the room you never really see in hotels and this is great and caters to people who have sensory issues with light. I really want to thank Bree and Eden who were the two staff I dealt with during my short stay. These girls are hospitality super stars and really go above and beyond to provide exemplary service and are both super friendly and efficient. I don't think the hotel would run the same without them! I would highly recommend this hotel as a first option to anyone looking to stay in Brisbane be it business or leisure. Thank you Inchcolm Team I will definitely be back!
I love this hotel! One of my favourite places to stay when visiting Brisbane. So many things to like about it - the art deco style and vibe, beautiful jazz music and cocktail lounge, complimentary treats, 5 star service from staff. Plus I enjoyed an unexpected room upgrade to a loft suite. Will always be coming back.
Stunning art deco hotel, beautiful rooms (our room even had a small living room) gorgeous decor and wonderful staff. Special shout out to Jericho who stayed longer so that we could have a glass of wine when we got back and even foraged for some snacks for us. The hotel also has lovely touches such as complementary barista coffee and pasties. Am going to seek out other Ode hotels to stay in.
My now wife, then girlfriend, spent our first NYE together at the Incholm. We were blown away be the level of care, the service, as well as how beautiful this historic building was. It was perhaps our favourite hotel experience we’d yet had. Naturally there was no where else we wanted to stay the night of our wedding. Like always the Incholm did not disappoint. The team went above and beyond for us and helped to create some unforgettable memories. Thank you guys very much!
