We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and overall were quite satisfied with our experience. The location is truly one of its strongest points very central and convenient. It was an easy and enjoyable walk to Adelaide Oval, and also close to the River Torrens, which made it perfect for relaxing strolls. Getting around the city from here was simple, with great access to everything nearby. The staff were warm, friendly, and always approachable. I especially appreciated their kindness when I asked them to heat up my child’s food they were more than happy to help, which made things much easier for me as I could comfortably feed my child in the room. I also used the swimming pool during our stay. It is an indoor pool and on the smaller side, but still quite nice. I had my child with me and it was suitable for us, so we were able to enjoy it together. Breakfast was good in terms of quality and presentation, although it remained exactly the same each day with no variation at all. It wasn’t a major issue, but a little variety would have made it even better. Overall, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I would happily consider staying here again.
The hotel was very expensive and totally not worth is. We made the reservation from America and when we arrived , there was not a door person or porter. the desk person was nice and friendly. We took our suitcases to our room , and the suite we had prepaid for was a bit like out of a 1980’s movie set, or an adult film set. It was kitch late 80’s. The view from both rooms of the suite is of the parking garage. It was dark and gloomy. We hear some noise from a nearby night club. I would never stay at this Adelaide Luxury Hotel again. The reception desk was nice and friendly. We did not have breakfast in the hotel because it seemed like it would be very disappointing, so we went to a nicely rated spot and walked through the sketchy neighborhood of the Hotel. It all was a lesson.
Rooms are great. Clean and comfortable. Only suggestion would be to replace the couches. Whilst aesthetically pleasing, they are uncomfortable as all hell to sit on for more than a few minutes. That aside, the rest of the experience was second to none. Staff are exceptional, the rooms very high quality, and the location in close proximity to the casino, train station, eateries etc makes it a perfect base to explore not only the CBD, but also the wineries, beaches, hills, etc. Will definitely stay again.
Beautiful hotel in a really convenient location in the city. Amazing customer service from all the staff. I loved the facilities: the gym, sauna, and pool were so lovely to use. I booked a room with a spa and it was so relaxing. Staying at the Playford Hotel was the most relaxing thing I've done all year. Thank you for an amazing stay. If you are a mum of 4 and have not had a night away from the kids in 8 years and it's your birthday: this is the hotel you should book for yourself.
The helpfulness of the staff was evident in countless interactions every day. From a smooth and welcoming check-in, to Reece’s assistance, the friendly service at the bar and restaurant, and the housekeeping team promptly providing bin liners and extra tea bags—every touchpoint felt thoughtful and professional. Room service was always delivered with a genuine smile. Altogether, it was clear this is a well-aligned team that takes pride in delivering great service. However Accor needs a lifetime loyalty status. The current loyalty model is purely transactional, with tiers rising and falling as work ebbs and flows. Years of sustained Platinum loyalty end up counting for nothing.The loyalty programme survey question has no text field to elaborate indicating they don't care.
