Function Venue
•Fantastic venue. Here visiting from the UK for the Ashes. Even though large queues to gain entry only took about 15 minutes to get into the ground. Has a seat in the Eastern stand in block 542 row C, was only in the sun from 4:40pm, so had most of the day watching the cricket sat in the shade, v handy with a temperature of 95F.
I'm a SACA member so I don't know what GA is like or the football but the cricket is great. It can be a bit hard getting a seat during the first few days of the test match, but there's over 50,000 people there. We didn't have to wait in lines for very long. They did a great job with the staffing levels. The village green is good, but it could do with more shade and seating. It's what makes Adelaide oval stand out from other cricket grounds. The village green could easily hold 10,000 people. And a lot of the time it does have that many people in it. There's lots of free sunscreen.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Adelaide Oval Tour Review The Adelaide Oval tour is absolutely worth it! The guides are warm, knowledgeable, and full of stories that bring the Oval’s history to life. You get to explore areas you’d never normally see — commentary boxes, heritage displays — and the views from the stands are incredible. Our tour we couldn't see the change rooms because there was Sheffield Shield game on - instead we were treated to the Radio - 5AA and media rooms which had a great view. The highlight of the tour was definitely the Scoreboard and it was soooo cool to be able to go in it whilst it was in use! What an incredible job. There were 4 people working the board that day! It’s the perfect mix of sport, history, and behind-the-scenes access - even as a local it's always busy during the games - so to take our time and explore was fabulous. Whether you’re a local or visiting Adelaide, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommend!
Phenomenal Venue! Adelaide Oval is a Certified Concert Powerhouse! We attended Adelaide Oval for the first time, traveling over from Melbourne for the massive Metallica concert on Wednesday, November 5th. Yes! You guessed it—we came for the metal, and the venue delivered on every single front. For an open-air venue hosting such a huge event, I was immediately impressed by the sheer space and layout. Even though the place was packed and absolutely electric with energy, it was remarkably easy to navigate. The facilities and amenities were great, and every staff member on deck for the concert was professional and genuinely helpful. What truly stood out was the atmosphere. For a massive stadium show, the space felt surprisingly intimate, and critically, the sound was truly METAL! The acoustics were fantastic, making the live music experience unforgettable. 🎸🎸🎸⚡⚡⚡ We loved our entire experience at the Adelaide Oval. It's a world-class venue and absolutely the place to catch a show. Thanks for an incredible night!
I had a fantastic time seeing my favourite band Metallica playing here. The sound wasn't the greatest but that didn't stop me from having a good time. The staff went out of their way for a smooth exit. People weren't crawling over each other and I felt safe to meet my lift home. Evanescence was brilliant, I haven't seen them perform before now and I hope they return on their own tour and I'd prefer to see them again at Marvel Stadium Melbourne 👍
