Visited the Adelaide Oval for the standard stadium tour and really enjoyed the experience. The guide was very knowledgeable, and as a cricket fan I learned a lot about the ground’s history and its connection to the game. Got to see how the traditional scoreboard operates, which was a highlight. Also had plenty of chances to take photos from different parts of the stadium, each with a unique view of the ground. The tour ran for about an hour and felt well paced. Bought tickets on Booking.com for $29, which I thought was good value for what was included.

Was my second time here this time seats much better even though not under cover as you could see all of the ground without any trouble. We were there for Gather Round and was great having supporters from other teams just enjoying the game. Easy to get to ground with public transport or if early enough great parking.

Because I had always really wanted to see the Oval Stadium, when I travelled to Adelaide I booked the 90-minute walking tour of Adelaide Oval. The tour turned out to be an outstanding and memorable experience. It was fascinating to learn about the rich history of the stadium, including how the turf was carefully designed for proper drainage and how both cricket and AFL traditions are celebrated here. Going behind the scenes into areas such as the players’ warm-up zones, locker rooms, media facilities, and ground staff machinery spaces was truly exciting. One of the highlights was visiting the historic manual scoreboard and understanding how it still operates with simple techniques during matches. Standing inside the fence and taking in the full beauty of the stadium was unforgettable. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and delivered engaging commentary that made the tour even more enjoyable. The Sir Donald Bradman collection was also impressive and a must-see. Overall, this tour offers great value and is highly recommended for anyone visiting Adelaide, whether you are a sports fan or simply interested in history.
