Adelaide Oval is easily one of the best places to watch sports or attend events in the city. It’s a gorgeous and historic venue, and the view from pretty much anywhere is amazing. Located right in the heart of Adelaide, it’s super easy to get to by public transport, and there are plenty of ticketed parking spots nearby if you’re driving. I still remember the first time I came here—there were no events on that day, but the staff still let me in to have a quick look around. That left a great impression on me. Super friendly people. Since then, I’ve been back a few times, mostly for football games and a couple of concerts. Every time has been a really solid experience. The place is well-organised, easy to get tickets, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, especially if it’s your first time there. The view is awesome, especially when the sun starts to set—it really adds something special to the whole vibe. The crowd energy during games and concerts is great too, but it never feels too chaotic. I’ve been meaning to try the RoofClimb experience and will definitely book it sometime soon. It looks like a really cool way to see the city and the stadium from a new angle. If you’re in Adelaide and haven’t been to the Oval yet, you’re seriously missing out. Definitely worth checking out, even just for a visit.
The best football ground in Australia! I always love coming to this venue as an away fan, because it’s just miles better than any stadium in Victoria. The ground looks amazing, the atmosphere is electric and it really brings the city of churches to life! Definitely recommend for any interstate fans who are thinking about a South Australian holiday.
One of the best cricket stadiums. It's a beautiful experience to watch cricket here. Very scenic views, good pitch and wind supports good bowling and consistent bounce allows free stroke making. Decent services on the fully packed event days, great food and drink options. Good event management allows seamless crowd movement. Security is also well managed giving you the sense of freedom of mind to enjoy the game.
This is a great venue in a beautiful setting, easily accessed from the CBD, trains, etc.... and watching cricket here is brilliant. The only downside are the massive queues getting drinks, they really need to sort this out as you could end up missing 1hr of play getting drinks. There is a tour that is not only reasonably priced, it is informative and really good, especially seeing inside the scoreboard, the history, how it works ... this tour is a must do.
Had the wonderful opportunity to take the tour of thus iconic stadium . The wonderful gents do an excellent job explaining the history of the oval . I also had the opportunity to do the roof climb which was another awesome experience and truly one of a kind . Having been here for New Year’s Eve - saw a big bash game as well . Stadium has good facilities and excellent views of the game from any area - especially the riverbank stands . Truly an iconic venue
