We visited the restaurant after our walk in Frankston looking at the wall art (amazing). No expectations but this place has a great view of the beach and the river. It wasn't busy during our visit and managed to get a table easily. Ordered our food via the QR code on the table, and food was served promptly. I had the best barramundi dish ($44) that was served with coconut flavoured rice and salad. The fish was fried to perfection and tasted amazing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes fried fish with Thai flavours. The seafood linguine was very generous with plenty of fresh seafood. The burger was served with a generous portion of chips. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Went here for an early lunch on Sunday It was quiet at the time. Food was generally good, pizza came out barely warm towards the middle. Pizza better when put through the oven again. Schnitzel was good, fried chicken burger was good. Scan at table to order meals arrived quick. Orders placed at bar before the others were forgotten and required someone to give them a shake up after other meals had arrived.
Great place for a get together although it can get pretty loud inside on a weekend. Food options for everyone and fairly standard prices for a pub. Staff were run off their feet so trying to ask menu questions or ask about meals was near impossible but not the fault of the staff as they were SO busy! The bar was 3-4 people deep at times so ordering was a bit of a pain. Our meals came at random times and not in order of who ordered first or even entrees first so that was frustrating when we were getting our food at different times. QR codes are great if you have no questions and ordering standard items although food ordered via the QR came last even though it was ordered first from a table of 6. Food was nice and the churros great!
It's a good pub. The beer list is varied which you would expect, some nice cocktails, the mulled ginger beer is a nice touch for winter but the serving size is on the smaller side.. Ordering food is easy enough with the app and after a previous review where I commented that it was frustrating that the appetizers were served with the main meal I noticed that you can now select if you want them served with your mains or not The beef burgers are always good but I wish they had onion on them. Lemon calamari was super tender. My son always loves the schnitzel and the tortellini was a hit. Well worth venturing out on a cold winter night
Room 6 at Cheeky Squire. I booked this for 7 nights, so far so good, happy with their services. Quiet, clean, and very close to the beach ⛱️
